    • More great Canadian talent that people should be aware of! Just got both (or is there more than 2?) Demon's Claws CD's recently and was quite impressed.

    • i picked up the Demon's Claws- Satan little pet pigs and the King Khan & BBQ Show and was suprised that i liked the Demon's Claws much better

    • Ya, i really dug the Brutal Knights latest as well....only complaint, way too short. ONe of the problem with finding stuff like The Midways and Primordials is, they're Canadian bands, but their records are pressed in Germany and it's a bitch finding them in Canada...maybe that Spin The Bottle label can do something about that...lol....

    • Can't get anyone at CHRW to play this one cept me......most of these kids (that are DJ's) have no idea who Keith Whittaker was....or for that matter, how important The Demics were/are to London's musical history.....

    • There's a couple of brand new bands on the list, namely Andy Butler and the 905's (Andy's actually here on the garage punk thing, so you can check out his songs), Paperboxes (a duo from Naniamo BC who have a myspace) and Sonic Avenues (from Montreal, just released a CD EP on Ricochet Sound).
There's so many cool bands from Canada out there, it's just difficult to find out about them.
Why don't you add your own fave Canuck releases from 2007? I'm sure there's lots of new stuff that i want to check out.

    • January 28, 2008 5:38 PM CST
    • A few of those bands I've never heard of...I'll have to check them out for sure!

    • ZIP GUNS live on CiTR

This Tuesday is the ten year anniversary of my radio show 'Caught in The Red'.
Partially due to wanting to have a party type atmosphere, and partially out of laziness, I am having a band in to play on it; The Zip Guns!

      - show runs from 10pm to midnight this Tuesday (Pacific Standard Time)

      - broadcast remains online as a podcast for about a month

Listen on air (CiTR FM 101.9 in Vancouver),
      or on-line (www.citr.ca)
