    • HURRICANE HANGOVER HELP VOOR NORTON RECORDS MET THE SONICS IN PATRONAAT

HAARLEM – Het legendarische Norton Records is afgelopen maand zwaar getroffen toen orkaan Sandy haar woede op New York losliet.

– Live In Tacoma 1964’.

Zoals ze zelf zeggen: “You Can’t Drown The Loud Sound!”

Einzige Show in der Schweiz!
1964 veröffentlichten The Sonics ihre erste von insgesamt 45 Singles «The Witch», 1965 ihren ersten Longplayer.
The Sonics waren bekannt für ihre harte, raue, trashige Musik. «We always played real hard. Larry played guitar as hard as he could. Bob Bennett played drums as hard as he could. Jerry screamed and banged on the piano. I tried to play sax the way Larry played guitar», sagte Saxophonist Rob Lind im Interview mit L.A.records.

    • I'm not Italian, but I lived in Torino for a year and love the scene over there. Thanks for the info on bands that are new to me.

While not a garage sounding band, 'I Cani' have had constant rotation on my system. And then 'CCCP' is an oldie but goodie.

    • Hi there,

I'm working on the promotion of the next release on my record label Casbah Records. The band will come to Europe for touring and I need some tips and good names of great magazines, written papers and blogs that i could contact to send the record to.

Of course i'm looking for people who write intelligent reviews and a bit famous and trustworthy

      Any good advice ?

Thank you for your help !!

THE BEAST GO EAST TOUR 2012
      08 – 23 DECEMBER

Two one man bands, WASTED PIDO from Venice (It) and SHERIFF PERKINS from Paris (Fr) will be on tour next December 2012.

the music they do is straightforward garage rock n roll influenced by country/rockabilly/blues and fueled with punk/hard core/thrash attitude.

they already shared car and stages in 2009 for COWPUNX FROM HELL tour.

      That tour produced a movie

In 2010 they toured France with COWPUNX GOES ZOMBIES gang (this time no movie was produced).

so far, this is the program:

      THE BEAST GO EAST
Wasted Pido/Sheriff Perkins on tour 2012

    • Okay this is a long shot but as there are a bunch of Finns here... Anyone in the Tampere region here up for forming a 80s UK-Trash/Garage band? Think Garage meets Rockabilly. Stuff like Vibes, Sting-Rays, Purple Things, Tall Boys, Cannibals, Mad Daddys, Cramps... I play guitar, so drums are needed, upright-bass(it's gotta be) and a decent vocalist with outgoing stage-personality, but no asshole. If that exists ;-)
