    • Just edited my comment and found out this one in Croatia. I don't think it's all garage but it had the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion in the beautiful Croatian sun.

    • Hi,

I'm traveling to Prague at the end of the month ( 29.1-1.2) and I'm still looking for good concerts, vegetarian restaurants, clubs, bars, record shops, clothing shops or general stuff to do that is not in the older thread here or on the usual travel-websites. Any recommendations are good. Thanks!

      Live: THE MERGERS
60s Beat from Germany (Soundflat Records)
Beat Beat Beat, Ladies and Gents!
THE MERGERS suddenly emerged on a 2011th disgustingly rainy day
      in Germany.
...Actually country-bred from an ancient beat community that was founded in 1966 in consequence of musical taste’s negative development,
THE MERGERS luckily were kept away from all upcoming musical influences.
Aspiring music manager Annie Goldfinger discovered this kind of a new world (that surprisingly looked very similar to an old one) by accident and brought this incredible new band for their first time in life to the continent. Unfortunately they had no entry permit so they were forced to leave subsequently, but only a few months later they were finally ready and allowed to hit the stage.
But what’s the catch? Immigration department insisted on taking up residence in Nuremberg (once voted Germany’s most boring metropolis),
for lightening up the dull & bored people’s lifes.
But these 4 young men are well known for meeting tough issues head-on.
Since then THE MERGERS have proven to be the unchallenged number 1 beat band emerged from this beat community ever!!!
      See it for yourself!

    • As BlueBullet said:
have a look at>  http://www.yeahright.eu/  check Berlin link list and calendar.

The best location (for NOT electronic music) are already listed.

For the big concerts (all mix-up here) check:
      http://www.trinitymusic.de/advanced_search_result.php/all/1

I´m afraid that for the period you mention doesn´t looks like is gonna be much,
The Jon Spencer Blues explosion next sunday, the Raveonettes 12th dec...

Here a list of record store (sorry, in german but you can have a look)
      http://kupillas.wordpress.com/2010/08/19/wo-man-in-berlin-noch-platten-und-cds-kaufen-kann/

I like Piatto Forte or Vopo Records but i buy really seldom records.
Better go around the Bergmannstr. You´ll find: Holy´s Hit Records (teeny-weeny but really good!),  The Record Store, Space Hall and a couple more.

Check also the record sellers at flea markets like MauerPark on Sunday. The "Flohmärkte" are listed in there too.

    • Hey Folks,

just would like to introduce the Renfield-Zine from berlin to the GRGPNK-Community.

Renfield started somewhere in the 90ies, survived somehow all over the years and now, Number 25 was released in September.
Renfield started as a Punk/HC-Zine, but became more versatile over the years, so you will find as well interviews, columns, reviews (lots of obscure stuff), comics,  sometimes recipes and short stories - all a fanzine needs.

No.25 is packed with the following interviews and stories: TEX MORTON (guitar player of the LOLITAS, KAMIKAZE QUEENS, SUNNY DOMESTOSZ and many more), MOPED (great punk from Leipzig, DC), sputnic (art collective, Dortmund), COOGANS BLUFF (70ies rock, Berlin-Leipzig-Rostock), FAEKALKOLLEKTOR (total trash rock from West Germany), stories and columns from Niki Matita (Subcult radioshow), Der Fette Mann, Die Anachronistin and Gary Flanell. Cover is made by israel graphic novel author Gabriel S.Moses.

Renfield is written mostly in german, but other well languages are also appreciated. Next issue will be out in March 2013, and if you would like to participate, to publish some of your stuff, just get in contact!

Ah, and not to forget - the RENFIELD-Blog:
