Leadbelly (Cherokee ancestry). Pat and Lolly Vegas ( Redbone , previously recorded under their own names.). Darin Lin Wood ( '68 Comeback , Fireworks. Pottawottamie ancestry.). Elvis Presley ( His Great- Great Grandmother was a Cherokee. He was declared an honorary Indian (As was Johnny Cash.) , though he would qualify for Native American status , today.  Rick Medlocke (Not a fan ,but he bears the distinction of being the most prominent nonwhite Musician in Southern Rock , barring possibly Jamoe from The Allman Brothers Band, whom I'm also not  a fan of.). Special mention - Charlie Big Snake - Fan and friend of the Dallas Punk scene in The 80's.                                   Super nice guy , rocked a bitchen' , tho' not gratuitous mohawk.
