      Hi All,

Am tired of listening to awesome American garage that I can't afford to go and see (or more likely, has already stopped touring).

Saw King Khan and the Shrines the other day up in London, and had TOOO much fun, psych-soul-garage that just made me dance like happyfuntimes. However, anything garagey, either on the punkier side (oblivian stylie) or the more chilled side, would be welcome.

Oh, and btw, this is my first post, just joined the community - names Tyler, 26 from Sunbury.

      Nice to meet y'all ,

      Tyler

We're based in the North East - been rehearsing since last year. Done a couple of gigs this year. So far we play about 20 odd Nugget-y gems, and have 7 or 8 original numbers, too. No recordings done yet other than mics left running in rehearsals, but we're planning on doing some studio recordings for a self-financed 7" or something towards the end of the year, once we've got some decent stage-time under our belts.

      www.thefalsepoets.co.uk is the web-page.

These guys: http://theblacktambourines.bandcamp.com/ They are absolutely amazing! A blend of garagepunk and fuzz drenched surf. One of my favorite current bands. I recommend Hombre or Chica as they hadn't quite figured out their sound on the first ep yet.

Yeah , If I can grow  a long enough lock in my hair , I can cover that third eye up.

      But , I'm 100% certain that's Sky Saxon's picture. That's how he looked in the 70's.

Jim Baker (Father Yod) did'nt look even remotely like his "Son" , Arlick (Sky Saxon.), except that he had the Moses hair and beard going on ,too. I used the term "Blatantly ripped off from " , lovingly , BTW.
       , TOO.

Hi John, we're not sure if it's Sky Saxon or Father Yod? Either way it's all linked to Ya Ho Wa 13.

Nice to see that someone had their spotter's eye on!

Wobbly Lamps new 7" EP "Drella" will be out very soon on our label Polyvinyl Craftsmen Records, they have already picked up airplay on garage shows in France and Germany and this week actually got some BBC 6Music action in the UK.

You can hear the new songs on Soundcloud and follow Wobbly Lamps and Polyvinyl Craftsmen Records on Facebook.

If you like a bit of Sonics/Cramps/Oh Sees/Billy Childish/Country Teasers/Fall influenced shit you'll enjoy the Wobbly Lamps.

Check out The Computers. That's a UK band that I would love to see live here in the US.

Paul Messis is killer. I don't mean he is a serial killer. I mean his records are Killer, and so are The Higher State.

Check out State Records, they seem to have a roster of the some of the best bands in the UK.

Hidden Masters, their 45 on State is just a masterclass in how to sound good. BTW I don't have anything to do with State Records, so this aint a plug.

Also The Masoncs don't know anyone who don't dig em, but I bet there is someone, there is always one as we say in in England ;-)

ATOMIC SUPLEX! Loved the world over even if they destroy the local music club. Nuff' said.

Someone already mentioned The Creeping Ivies. That's a great one. For garage in the UK, check out Dirty Water Records. Thee Vicars, MFC Chicken, etc.
