THEE DIRTYBEATS (http://www.theedirtybeats.com) specialize in gritty, aggressive maximally fuzzed-out vintage garage rock from the 60s, the sound that inspired early proto-punk pioneers like the MC5 and the Stooges. The tunes they exhume for their sets brim with dark, swaggering, lip-curling attitude.

Thee Dirtybeats draw inspiration from “Tobacco A-Go-Go”, Ken Friedman's fiery three-volume compilation of extinct NC garage rock bands from the 1960s, and from garage bands and fans the world over, who continue to renew rock and roll by taking it back to its most primitive, up-from-the-muck roots.
