so being rather new to this thing i thought i might introduce myself and then make others do the same thing.

my name is will i live down melbourne way. moved here about 10 months ago from sydney. by day i'm a mild mannered employee for a pharamaceutical company. by night i like to kick back with a beer and good music. last 4 records i've bought: 1. the bronx - the bronx (the new one) 2. fucked up - chemistry of common life lp 3. the leg hounds - s/t lp 4. new wave hookers - kings in slatanic service lp

      thats pretty much it.

Hi, I'm from Brisbane.  I am involved with a garage band called The Busymen in which I manage several of their webpages and do backing vocals for.  Also teaching the lead singer Boston Bob to play organ on some of the songs they do.

I've been into the Brisbane garage scene since the late 90's, and also like other acts like The DangerMen, Bertie Page Clinic, Pineapples From The Dawn Of Time, The Vaginabillies, The Hits, Screamin' Stevie's Australia, and Gravel Samwidge.

Other bands I am also involved with are a power pop act d-Wizz 2.0 at: http://www.myspace.com/dwizz2point0  a co-ed act called Laissez-Fayre at: http://www.myspace.com/laissezfayre and http://www.youtube.com/laissezfayre  and an upcoming solo act mostly doing New Wave and 70's glam rock covers as well as originals written in that style.

Mel in Adelaide -- love garage and crusty old music -- the scuzzier the better. My partner is a hopeless 80's pop tragic -- the suffering my ears have endured! Glad to see an Oz/Nz group @ the Hideout. Newest obsession is Thee Gravemen.

Ahoy-hoy, better do the intro thing too, I play in a surf instrumental outfit called The Volcaniks (www.thevolcaniks.com). We play a range of surf instrumental music but mostly early stuff and our own compositions. We are based in Victoria and gig around Melbourne and close to home (Mornington Peninsula). Reverb, twang, you know, the usual! Even though we play true early 60's surf choones we all like different music and all that.

Anyway been lurking for a while and thought time to step up and say hi....oh yeh all the best for the festive season!
