Radio What Wave Playlist December 18/2014  All Xmas Songs!!

      1. Marshmallow Overcoat....Santa Fuzz....from their double Best Of LP that came out earlier this year. And vocalist Timothy Gassen also released the excellent Knights Of Fuzz book that makes a great Xmas gift for you or yours!

      2. Joey Ramone....Merry Christmas ( I Don't Want To Fight Tonight)....from the 2012 Ya Know? CD.  Way different than the more known Ramones version.

      3. Mack Rice...Santa Wants Some Lovin'...from Trailer Trash Christmas CD.

      4. Mojo Nixon....Trim Yo Tree....as above. It's a 1999 compilation CD put out by Platinum Entertainment.

      5. The Fleshtones....Canadian Christmas...from the Stocking Stuffer CD on Yep Roc from 2008. Bassist Ken Fox who just happens to be Canadian, penned this little upbeat number. Caught The Fleshtones live this spring in Hamilton Ontario and as always, the most energetic and real rock'n'roll band on the planet!!! And that was the last time I got to hang out with Rob Munro who passed away this summer!

      6. The Fleshtones...Mr. Santa Claus...from the above.

      7. The Fleshtones....Christmas with Bazooka Joe....from the above.

      8.  The Gruesomes...Santa Claus....from the Unchained 12" EP on Primitive Records. They used to change the words a little bit when playing it live around us.....something about a new What Wave hahahahaha!

      9. The Sonics....Don't Believe In Christmas...from the Black Christmas compilation.

      10. Lazy Cowgirls....Sock It To Me Santa...from a Bomp 7" and originally done by Bob Seger back in the mid 60's.

      11. 63 Monroe....White Christmas....from a single they released in 1984. One side mono, the other stereo and meant for radio play.

      12. Bitchlove....All I Want For Christmas Is Some White Stuff....local 2 piece combo and from a demo.

      13. Bitchlove...Santa Eats Your Cookies While You Sleep.... as above.

      14. The Youngsters....Christmas In Jail....from the Black Christmas compilation.

Right around this time we had our usual Christmas message from The Legendary Stardust Cowboy!!! Thanx Ledge!!!

      15. The Razorbacks....All The Girls Look Prettier at Christmas....1987 7" on Tradition Records. Toronto rockabilly combo who used to play London a fair bit.

      16. MX 80 Sound....Christmas With The Devil....from their American Music CD from several years back.

      17. Plan 9....Merry Christmas....from a 1984 7" on Midnight Records. Plan 9 made several trips to London from about the mid 80's to early 90's. Each time they had a slightly different lineup and a slightly different sound moving from 60's punk/psychedelic all the way to jazz rock with psychedelic overtones. Always a fun time to see Plan 9 playing live.

      18. Thee Eviltones....It's Christmas...a demo from last year. UK combo.

      19. Shonen Knife....Space Christmas....from a 1989 7"

      20. Paul James Band...Run Run Rudolph....1986 7" from this Toronto combo.

      21. Mach Bell....C'mon Santa....from the Gulcher Chrismas sampler CD. Mach was in Thundertrain, a Boston area combo that released at least one LP that is kinda proto-punk sounding.

      22. The Shanks....Christmas Star....from their The Dark Richard Show CD from 2010. Orangeville Ontario duo who are big in Germany and almost unknown around these parts. Doesn't make sense at all....

      23. The Cheepskates....Christmastime With You....from the Midnight Christmess compilation LP from 1984.

      24. The Rooks....Christmas....from a 1992 demo CD. NYC based powerpop combo.

      25. Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet.....Xmas Medley.....from a CBC Radio special, probably 1989 or so and we had to fade this one out as time elapsed.

Big thanx for all the phonecalls, emails, facebook messages and Heys!!! Taking next week off and Megan (from CHRW's Play Dead Radio) will be hosting and playing even more Christmas tunes.  Back on January 1st in the usual time slot!! Happy Holidays!!

Radio What Wave Playlist Jan 1/2015 All 2014/late 2013 recordings

First off, Happy New Year from Radio What Wave!! This show will only be recordings from 2014 and late 2013 as we highlight some of the releases that made it to WW HQ's. This will NOT be a best of, nor top 10 or any of that crap! Simply some really cool music that we came across and hopefully you too will dig some of this!! Big Thanx to all the labels, bands, artists that still send us actual physical copies and links for downloads! Much appreciated!!

      1. The Mogs....Swamp Love...from the El'Mogamundo! CD. Had to start the show with this one as our good pal Rob Munro played guitar/sang/wrote the songs and it was his long time dream to get this CD out. Luckily, Rob was able to get this out before his untimely passing this summer. We were pals with Rob for approx 25 years as I still remember him coming up to us at a Gruesomes show at Call The Office and raving and ranting about how good The Gruesomes were and how he and his pal James Bond were starting a band that was going to be similar...and the birth of the Frankenstein 5! Rob played a big part in the London Ontario scene for many years, playing in bands like the mentioned F5, The Mood, Groove Things, Scratching Post, solo and The Mogs prior to moving to Burlington Ontario several years ago. And then the bug caught him again and we re-connected in Hamilton, seeing many cool bands like Magic Christian, The Cynics, Ugly Beats and so many others. From there he helped form The Noble Savages which you can hear later on in this show. Miss your rambling Rob!
We also lost several other local musicians this past year, Jake Proctor, Rob Brent (The Demics, Mettle) and Jeff Depew (Legend Killers, 63 Monroe, Taplash, Hogbitch, Scratching Post and many more).

      2. Lionel Lodge....Putting Down My Gun...from The Agitator CD. Lionel is presently in Austria where he plays regularaly, but promises to be back in London on Friday Feb 6th for a show at Fitzrays.

      3. Roger Zuraw....Keep Your Mouth Shut...from a CD single and written on the front 'For The Downtrodden and the Oppressed' a timely message. And a big shout out to Roger as not only a regular listener, but a frequent phone caller to Radio WW!! Thanx Roger!

      4. Dustbin Flowers...Saturday's Ashes...from their II CD. Local combo featuring the man of a 1000 bands, Jeffy B. They play out fairly often, so catch them if you can.

      5. Eugene Ripper...Punks and Pushers...from the Hangman CD. Eugene was in the early 80's Toronto combo, Stark Naked and The Fleshtones, not to be confused with The Fleshtones from NYC.

      6. WIlko Johnson....Going Back Home...from the CD of the same name in collaboration with Roger Daltrey. Wilko was diagnosed with terminal cancer and had just a few months left. Roger phoned him up and said 'wanna make a record', to which Wilko replied 'I've only got a little time left, so we gotta do it quick' which they did. Out popped this marvelous CD featuring Wilko's staccato guitar burst and Roger's hearfelt vocals. Miraculously Wilko had surgery and is cancer free and continued on playing after a recovery hiatus. For those not familiar, Wilko was the original guitarist in Dr Feelgood and Roger sings for The Who.

      7. Jim Jones Revue....Catastrophe...from the Savage Heart LP. UK combo who finally made it to London Ontario and put on an absolute Killer show last January!! One of my fave shows of this past year! Since then, the band has decided to pack it in.

      8. Vintage Experience...You Don't Look Good To Me....from a demo from this Oneida based combo. Guitarist vocalist Ryan In The Red, had a long time show on CHRW called In The Red and presently does a podcast on The Garagepunk Hideout called Rock City Madness. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

      9. The Mongrels....7 and 7 Is....recorded live at APK 8/3/14 as part of the Rock'n'Roll Rent Party that happens the first sunday of the month. Next one happens on Sunday Jan 4th at 3PM and features the next band....

      10. Straight Jacket....Jesus Love Porn Stars....from a recent demo and as mentioned above, SJ will be playing at 3PM this coming sunday at APK in downtown London Ontario.

      11. Holy Roller...Bicycle Day....recent demo fromt his 3 piece pop combo who recently played a Rock'n'Roll Rent Party.

      12. Pacanomad....Heaven Can Wait....from their recent Restless EP CD. Yet another combo who has played the Rock'n'Roll Rent Party!

      13. Frankie And Jimmy....Let It Rock....from their Scream The Blues LP. Hamilton based 2 piece blues combo.

      14. catl....Save Myself....from This Shakin' House LP. 2 piece Toronto based rock'n'roll/blues combo that play London fairly regularly. And ALWAYS put on a killer show!!

      15. O Lendario Chucrobillyman....Midnight Jungle....from his Man Monkey CD that came out on Off Label Records from Germany. One man band from Brazil that tours the world and is on my list of bands to see....maybe someday!

      16. Vikki Vortex and The Cumshots....Countdown To A Breakdown....from the latest Garagepunk Hideout compilation download. This is their 10th download covering the world of garagepunk music and VV come from Germany.

      17. Great Dismal Swamis....Loch Ness Lightning....from their Fandango 7" and this is another combo that i've connected via the garagepunk hideout. Check them out, it's free to join.

      18. Delusionaires....The Scrump....a recent single on Hidden Volume Records from Philidelphia. This label has released a ton of cool singles and are well worth checking out. The Delusionaires come from Florida, hence the hot'n'greasy vibes!

      19. Excelsior.....Pornos...from their brand new 7" EP on It's Trash Records from London Ontario. The record is called Punk Floyd EP and you can pick it up locally at Speed City, Grooves, Village Idiot etc....there's a rumour that a couple of these guys may have been in a combo called The Dropouts who left London several years ago and re-surfaced in Vancouver, releasing a couple of CD's during their existence.

      20. Excelsior....Wildlife Death Match...from the It's From London 7" EP on It's Trash Records. BTW, It's Trash is also a radio show here on CHRW, broadcasting every 2nd friday at 6PM.

      21. Heart Attack Kids...Eh Ok...from their recent 7" EP on Speed City/It's Trash Records. Local 2 piece garagepunk combo that might be appearing at the next Kissin' The Carpet show in Hamiton Ontario.

      22. Noble Savages....Music Will Kill You...from the brand new Marshmallow Generation LP on It's Trash Records. Noble Savages as you should all know by now, call Hamilton Ontario home and have recently acquired legendary drummer Stacey Case for future draft choices.

      23. Hurricane And Able....Day More Day....from their most recent download and the 3rd for this Toronto/London based combo. Still waiting for these guys to play here in London.

      24. King Tuff....Headbanger....from the Black Moon Spell CD. Had to fade this out as we the bell rang and the ref stopped the show....back with more next week.

Big Thanx for the phone-ins, emails, facebook messages and Heys!!! From the above listing, guess it was a pretty good year for music....at least for my ears! We'll continue with some more songs from 2014 next week and then maybe do a special on something or other....you'll have to tune in to find out as i haven't decided yet. Next week same time, same channel.

      1. 905's....Running Full Speed....from the Radio What Wave Sessions 5/16/2013. The 905's were playing The Rivoli the night this show aired and we here at Radio WW really dig the 905's!

      2. Dave Campbell...Time Is Now...from the Finding The Real CD. Local and from late 2013 as we play more cool stuff that we came across in 2014. Dig The Faces/soul sound on this track!

      3. Mess.... Alcohol...from a download. These guys are from Moscow and must really dig the NYDolls and early Stooges as they have that sound down quite nicely!

      4. Legato Vipers...Spy Vs Spy...from their self titled CD and are from the Cambridge area. Shades of Shadowy Men!!

      5. catl....Get Outta My Car...from the Soon This Will All Be Gone CD and will be playing This Ain't Hollywood tonite for a video release party.

      6. Noble Savages....In The Basement....from their self titled debut CD and they will be playing with catl tonite!

      8. Fleshrag....Bad Attitude....from the Too Fucked Up download. Hamilton Ontario combo that feature a former Mystic and Rocket Reducer.

      9. Excelsior....Shut In...from their brand new 7" on It's Trash Records.  From London and the have a really cool sound reminiscent of greasy 50's rock'n'roll meets early Dead Kennedys!

      10. The Dropouts...Sucker Punch....from their After School Sessions CD that came out in 2005. Rumour has it, that a couple of these guys are now in Excelsioir. The Dropouts were from London and right after this CD came out, they relocated to Vancouver and hooked up with Pete Feend who we name dropped above.

      11. The Dropouts...Bored Stiff...from their 2003 debut CD.

      12. Flatt and Scruggs...The Ballad Of Jed Clampett....from a 7" on Columbia Records and goes out to Miss Elly May Clampett who is now resting out back beyond the cement pond.

      13. The Untamed Youth....Hey Elly May...from the More Gone Gassers LP on Norton Records and from 1990. A dedication to our gal and for those that aren't aware, this is the combo that launched guitarist Deke Dickerson (then called Derek) to fame.

      14. Don't Touch The Dancers....Make Me Sick...from the LDN CD put out last year by CHRW. BTW, Don't Touch The Dancers are playing on Friday Jan 16th at Call The Office with Teenanger and TV Freaks.

      15. Mother's Children....Talk To Her....from the brand new Lemon LP on Mammoth Cave Records. Ottawa powerpop combo with all the right sounds! Easily one of my fave LP's of 2014!

      16. The Real Kids...I Can't Shake That Girl...from the brand new Shake...Outta Control LP on Ugly Pop Records. We've waited way too long for this one and John Felice and Billy Cole still got the songs, sounds and move!! Dedicated to Alpo, The Real Kids longtime bass player who passed away way too soon.

      17. The Real Kids....She Don't Take It....so good we had to play 2 tracks. You can pick it up locally at Speed City or most of the record shops in Toronto.

      18. Marshmallow Overcoat...Groovy Little Trip....from The Very Best Of double LP. From Tucson Arizona and features vocalist Timothy Gassen, responsible for the recent and essential book, The Knights Of Fuzz, which is a gigantic history of the garagepunk band movement from the late 70's up to the present. There's even a Canuck section from your truly.

      19. Flight Reaction.... Falling Through Colour....from their self titled debut CD on 13 O'Clock Records from Austin Texas. The band is from Sweden and features a former member of The Crimson Shadows (one of THE best 80's garagepunk combos) and The Maggots.

      20. The Galileo 7...Don't Know What I'm Waiting For....from the False Memory Lane CD on 13 O'Clock Records. G7 come from the UK, and a couple members were in the highly acclaimed The Prisoners in the early to late 80's.

      21. Heart Attack Kids....Platonic Love....from a recent 7" on It's Trash/Speed City and this local duo will be playing this Wednesday at Call The Office.

      22. SFH....Mayor On Crack....7" on Ugly Pop Records covering Toronto's former (and disgraced) Mayor.

      23. Simply Saucer....Low Profile....from the recent Baby Nova 12". Protopunk combo from Hamilton Ontario that is still viable 40 years later. Catch them live if you ever get the chance as live dates are getting fewer.

      24. Radio 4....I Don't Wanna Go To NYC....from the compilation cassette, Slippery's Club Hits that came with What Wave 24. You can pick this up locally or contact me for info.

      25. Panic....I'm Dead.....from the Bad Fantasies LP. Toronto doom combo whom several have compared to early Pere Ubu.

Thanx for all the phone calls, emails, facebook messages and Heys!! All appreciated as that's what keeps the fires going!

Next week, we start a series of specials on The Last Pogo Jumps Again movie. It's a documentary of the Toronto and area punk scene from the very beginnings up until the Last Pogo event which happened in December 1978. The Last Pogo referred to the end of punk events happening at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto.  It was a 2 night closing event and was filmed by Colin Brunton as a documentary, released for a very short time and then disappeared, returning several years  back. This new movie covers the scene right up to the event with some coverage of the later scene. We're going to start next week's show covering the bands that led up to the scene and then the early Toronto combos. From there, we'll cover the later Toronto combos, then delve into the Hamilton and finally the London scene. I'll be digging through our archives for lots of unreleased recordings for this series of specials.

Radio What Wave Playlist: Jan 15/2015 Part 1 of The Last Pogo Jumps Again Special

This is part 1 of our special on The Last Pogo Jumps Again and we start with the sounds/bands that were around prior to, that influenced the punk/new wave emergence. We also talk about some of the things that happen during the movie and many things that don't. In other words, lotsa yammering between tunes.

      1. The Demics...New York City....from the CD of the same name and this is a live recording from June 1978 at the Cedar Lounge here in London Ontario. Played this as the movie opens with a studio version of this song.

      2. Robbie Rox....Reeming Me....from his Construction Site LP. Robbie has a full fledged jazz/rock style of band that plays all original music that attacks modern society and the people in it. With song titles like "I'll Be Fucked" and "The World Is Mad" you know this guy is on our side....that being the wrong side of the tracks!! Robbie has been doing his thing since the mid 70's and continues to this day.

      3. Rough Trade...Birds Of A Feather...from the Rough Trade Live! LP that is a direct to disc recording.  Rough Trade were a big inspiration to many of the early punk/new wave/art combos as they did all original music and did it their own way. And they combined theatrics and unconventional clothing (leather, whips, furs, etc) for their time period.  And there's a few words from Carole Pope (lead singer) as she became a little frustrated with her audience at the Spoke and RimTavern at Western University in the early 80's. And rightfully so....For some odd reason Rough Trade was never invited back to Western University! And there were some comments from Swine Flu about the latest Goddo record around here as well.

      4. Simply Saucer.....Nazi Apocalypse....from the Cyborgs Revisited LP.  Hamilton combo who were creating what is now considered protopunk, taking influences from Syd's Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, Krautrock and even English folk music to create their own sound. Big Thanx to Bruce 'Mole' Mowat for having the balls to release this record back in 1989 and opening the doors for Simply Saucer to become critical faves!

      5. Simply Saucer....I Don't Care....from a demo that singer/guitarist Edgar Breau dropped off last time we had him on Radio WW. Simply Saucer are still active today and recently released the Baby Nova 12" EP recorded in Detroit with Jim Diamond.

      6. The Ramones.....Blitzkrieg Bop....recorded live at CBGB's 1976. This was the band that came to The New Yorker Theatre in Toronto on 9/24/1976 and blew the doors wide open!! Rumours have it that all in attendance for the show went out and formed bands, hence the beginnings of the punk/new wave scene in Toronto.

      7. The Dishes....Walky Talky....from the Fashion Plates 7" from 1977. Art rocker combo featuring Steven Davey, who persuaded many to get out and perform live and wrote key songs for several Toronto bands. Sadly we lost Steven this past year.

      8. Zoom....Massacre At Central High....a 7" that featured a future Diode. Viletone and Secret.

      9. The Diodes...Red Rubber Ball...from a 1977 7" on CBS Records. First Toronto punk/new wave band to be signed to a major label, and release an LP. Somewhere around here we had some words from manager Ralph Alfonso, who also founded the legendary Crash'n'Burn Club in Toronto in the summer of 1977.

      10. The Diodes....DOA....from the 1998 Tired Of Waking Up Tired CD. This is a best of CD, and DOA is one of the songs that wasn't released until this CD came out.

      11. The Dead Boys...Ain't It Fun....live at CBGB's 3/14/1978. NYC via Cleveland band that played Toronto many times including the Crash'n'Bun Club. They were infamous for stealing the girls and taking them back to NYC.

      12. The Nerves...Stand Back....from the Live! LP on Alive Records. The Nerves were one of the very first punk/new wave bands to tour the continent and played the Crash'n'Burn Club. This recording was done in Cleveland, the day prior to their Toronto show.

      13. The Nerves....Walking Out On Love....as above. The Nerves consisted of Jack Lee, Peter Case and Paul Collins, all of whom have had successful musical careers since. When Paul Collins played in London at Moon Over Marin a coupla years back, he stayed over at our place and we talked a bit about playing The Crash'n'Burn. Paul's most vivid memory was the young girls in short skirts at the show!!

      14.  The Curse....Somethings You Can't Tell Your Mother....recorded live at Forest City Gallery 11/25/1977. The Curse were one of the very first punk bands to play here in London Ontario. The Ugly, also from Toronto were supposed to play with The Curse, but they no showed and The Curse ended up playing 3 sets....they only had 8 songs and had to mix them up between songs!!

      15. The Curse...Shoeshine Boy....from their first 7".

      16. Teenage Head....Picture My Face....recorded live at the Spoke Tavern here at Western University and features lots of smart ass comments from vocalist Frankie Venom.

      17. Teenage Head....Top Down....from a 7" from 1978 and my fave version of this song due to it's background harmony vocals. Shoulda been a hit!!!

      18. Teenage Head....Tearing Me Apart....from their very first 7".

Ran outta time as we had The Viletones all qued up and ready to go, so we'll start next week's show with some live Viletones from 1978...with lots of Leckie verbosage!! And next week we've got Colin Brunton, the man responsible for The Last Pogo and The Last Pogo Jumps Again movies for a phone in interview.

You can find the archived show at:

Thanx for the emails, facebook messages, facebook comments and all the other kind words!! Glad that so many enjoyed this special and we'll be back at 6PM ET on Thursday  Jan 22nd!

Radio What Wave Playlist Jan 22/2015  Part 2 of our special on The Last Pogo Jumps Again w/Colin Brunton

      1. The Demics....New York City....original version as that's what is playing when the intro credits roll on The Last Pogo Jumps Again.

      2. The Viletones....Look Listen Learn....1978 live recording from The Colonial in Toronto. Bootleg cassette quality, but where else you gonna hear this?

      3. The Viletones....Screaming Fist...as above. And as Leckie says at the intro, this is the first live appearance of what was to become a Viletones standard.

Right about here we had Colin Brunton via the batphone to talk about the making of both the original Last Pogo and the just released on DVD The Last Pogo Jumps Again. Lots of trivia and Colin told the entire story with little prompting on my part. A true pro!! If only more interviews weren't this easy!!

      4. The Viletones...Just For You...from A Taste Of Honey CD on OPM Records. Also mentioned the London Ontario connection w/Peter Moore doing the behind the scenes sound wizardry. And another London connection w/Jan Haust as OPM is/was his label.

      5. The Ugly....No Place To Go...from the Disorder CD on OPM. Once again Peter Moore worked his wizardry. The Ugly were the real deal, no gangs to fight their battles and lead singer Mike Nightmare spent a fair bit of his life on the wrong side of the jail door.

      6. The Ugly...Revenge...as above.

      7. The Ugly....Stranded In The Laneway....from a 7" on Explosion Records. This is later material and much poppier than above.

      8. Nash The Slash....Fever Dream...from the Bedside Companion 12" on Cut Throat Records. Nash played London many times and his brother ran the Madrigal, a classical music record store here in town for many years.

      9. Bob Segarini....Gotta Have Pop...from the LP of the same name. One of my fave powerpop LP's from Toronto from this era. Bob came into the scene with loads of experience as he had recorded LP's with The Wackers and The Dudes. He helped many of the Toronto bands of the era behind the scenes.

      10. Bob Segarini....Teenage Love...this was broadcast on Q107 11/10/1978 and later became an LP on Bomb Records, an important label in the Toronto and area scene.

      11. The Scenics...Do The Wait...from the Protospunk download recorded long before they released any records. 3 piece art/damaged rock combo out of Toronto who didn't sound like any other band from this area. Almost protopunk, these guys were ahead of their time and appreciated later.

      12. The Scenics...O Boy....from the Last Pogo CD.

      13. The Secrets...Suzi Peroxide....from the Teenage Damage CD on OPM Records. This is basically The Viletones without Leckie and the addition of Diode John Hamilton. These guys were doing 60's fratrock/doowop/garage and shoulda been big but drugs and other things just didn't let it happen.

      14. The Secrets...I'll Cry Tomorrow....as above. This one has an absolute killer bass run! One of my fave Toronto combos from this era.

      15. The Poles...CN Tower...from their only 7" and a killer song that blows away everything else they released.

      16. The Cads...Do The Crabwalk...from a 7" on  BI-R Records from 1978.

      17. Cardboard Brains....Caesar Drives A Fast Car....from a 12' on Guilt Records. They also released a 7" and a live LP recorded at The Edge, the club that took over from where The Horseshoe left off band/sound wise. Again, promoted by The Garys.

      18. The Mods....Step Out Tonight....from their only 7". There is also a CD on OPM Records that is recommended if you are a fan. Drummer David Quinton later released a solo LP and joined a later version of The Dead Boys, before joining Stiv Bators for some of his early solo recordings. David is now a very important entertainment lawyer in Toronto. In The Last Pogo Jumps Again, he's interviewed in his office, way up in the clouds!

That's a wrap for this week's edition. Thanx for all the crazy phone calls, emails, facebook messages and Heys!! And a HUGE thanx goes out to Colin Brunton for calling in to yammer about the documentary. And thanx to his dog for being patient as the interview coincided with his daily walk!!

Back again next week for Part 3 of The Last Pogo Jumps Again Special as we play some more Toronto combos, probably starting with one of my faves, The Government and carrying on with Arson, Martha and The Muffins, B Girls (remember that name!!), Tyranna and lots more.

      Untitled

Radio What Wave Playlist January 29/2015 Part 3 of The Last Pogo Jumps Again Radio Special

      1. The Demics....New York City...live version from The Cedar Lounge and appropriate as this song plays during the opening credits of The Last Pogo Jumps Again.

      2. Arson....Pretty Girls...from Smash The State Volume 1. This complilation LP was put out on Last Exit Records, the label that Frank Manley created to put out 70's Canpunk. Frank Manley wrote the book, Smash The State, which is a discography of the Canpunk scene....records only, no cassettes or CD's. The book came out in the very early 90's, a box of them came to London Ontario, which we sold at the record shows here. Many of the first press ended up in Germany as the vinyl collectors there were heavily into North American 70's punk at the time. Rumours there could be a second edition of the book have proven false so far as many corrections/additions have been submitted. Oh ya, Arson were from Toronto, released a 7" (the following 2 songs) and this particular track is a demo. Arson have reformed in recent years and put on an early 80's Stooge like affair. Ain't nothing wrong with that!

      3. Arson...Coho Coho...from their only 7". Trivia, they were the first Toronto punk band i ever saw, probably summer 1978. At that point, i truly believed that London punk bands were superior to Toronto's!

      4. Arson...White Folks....the flipside of the above 7".

      5. The Government....Hemingway Hated Disco....1979 7" and the first by The Government. A band out of step with trends as they were into video and incorporated this into their live show well before MTV had been conceived in a board room. They released at least 2 singles, a 12" and 2 LP's, all of which still give me a boner to this day.

      6. The Government....Sleeping...from their second 7" and my intro to the band. Still vividly remember hearing them for the first time on 6X, the radio station of Fanshawe College when they were the very first in this area to play new wave/punk rock! Drastically changed my record buying and listening habits!  As far as i know, The Government never made it to London Ontario, and finally got to see them in late 1981 at the Spadina Hotel. It was a major disappointment, as by this time, the band had evolved into a 4 piece and were mere shadows of the vision created in my mind via their records.

7.B-Girls....B Side...Bomp single. All girl new wave band who in later years featured Londoner Marcy Saddy on the kit. This is a  band that coulda and shoulda as Bomper Greg Shaw was rumoured to have an LP in the can and waiting for the right time to release it. Never happened as Greg may have misfiled it amongst his bazillions of records or it may have just been another rumour....asked him about it many years ago and never did get a proper response. B-Girls did go on to open for The Clash a time or 2, when it mattered!

      8. Martha And The Muffins....Paint By Number Heart....from a 7", but also on their first LP. Martha and The Muffins were around right from the beginning, but didn't release anything until 1980. Echo Beach blasted out of radios everywhere and the band went on to fame.

      9. Tyranna....Back Off Baby....from a Boppa Do Down 7" that came out a few years ago. Tyranna never released any records (but were on at least one compilation) during their lifespan, but this 7" and later, a full LP on Rave Records brought them the fame they deserved.

      10. Battered Wives....Uganda Stomp....from a 7" and probably their most known song as it was played here on CHRW and 6X back in it's day. Battered Wives had issues with their name and femininists who arrived carrying placards to some shows.

      11. Battered Wives...Pass Out....from a 7". Battered Wives shortened their name to Wives to appease the critics. They also got to open for Elvis Costello in the fall of 1978 when he played Alumni Hall here in London Ontario....stupidly i did not go as it wasn't punk enough for me!!!

      12. Forgotten Rebels....National Unity....from their 1978 12". Hamilton's bad boys have been around since day 1 and Mikey's got the scars and stories to prove it! A Canadian punk institution as these guys (and i'm using guys lightly, as this band has gone through dozens of members) have played everywhere in Canada to appreciative audiences. It's a rite of passage for so called punks in Canada to see the Forgotten Rebels.

      13. Forgotten Rebels....You're A Rebel Too....from a 1978 cassette released by the band. One time when the Rebels (that's what fans call them...hahaha) were playing The Cedar Lounge in London, Mikey was asking me why the turnout was unusually low for them as it was a weekend. I said that Carl Perkins was up the street playing Fryfogles, and many of my friends were there. Mikey proceeded to give me shit for coming to see his band and not going to see Carl Perkins, a real rock'n'roll legend. And Mikey was right!!

Big thanx for the phone calls, emails, facebook messages and Heys!!!! And thanx for tuning in and reading this glob!!

Next week, we're taking a break from the Last Pogo Series of Radio Specials and we've got a live to air happening next week. We've got Lionel Lodge and his London Ontario band playing live over the airwaves sometime between 6 and 7:30 PM. It's gonna be great!!
And don't forget, it's The Rock'n'Roll Rent Party happening sunday at APK, 3PM bell time and Lionel Lodge and Jeffy B are going to start the show with a bang!! Lionel currently lives in Vienna Austria, and is visiting for a short time only, so try and catch the show. And as always, The Mongrels will be headlining, doing 2 rock solid rock'n'roll sets!! See ya there on sunday.

Radio What Wave Playlist Feb 5 2015: Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies Live To Air

This show was a special live to air, featuring Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies. Lionel is a former Londoner who played in such outfits as The Catch, Nosmo King Jr, The Corndogs and many others while in London. He also ran a small afterhours club, coincidentally called Lionels back in the early 80's. You can hear the interview with Lionel towards the end of the show, and there's TONS of interesting info about London's musical history in there.
The Cheekies consist of Jeffy B, the man of 1000 bands, another long time veteran on London's music scene. 2 of his current combos, The Rumblebees and Dustbin Flowers have been played many times on Radio WW. We'd need a full book to list all the bands that Jeffy's been involved with over the years and he's a big part of London's musical history. On drums, Dave Gervais who plays with Jeffy in Dustbin Flowers. Should mention they are recording a live CD in a coupla weeks, and you too can partake in the live recording. And finally, on bass is Geoff Squire, another veteran of countless London Ontario bands. Should mention, The Cheekies are Lionel's London Ontario based band, his other band is back at his current home base of Vienna, Austria.

And this show was dedicated to Rose Pigott (nee Vasti) who passed away the morning of the show. Rose and her good pal Donna Parker, did the London Ontario based zine called Fringe Benefits starting in 1990. The zine lasted several years and came out at an extremely fast pace, sometimes monthly! If you've ever done a fanzine, you know how much work, time and sweat that would be!! Fringe Benefits put on many shows in London and the surrounding area, eventually releasing a CD compilation that featured many of the bands they loved! And they loved many local bands, often the only press for many at the time. Rose was also a huge fan of local combo, 63 Monroe and she would be there along with her husband Mark at all their shows! A huge supporter of local music that will be missed by all!!!  Rose's enormous smile and encouraging words will not be forgotten!!! RIP Rose!!

      1. The Ramones....Do You Remember Rock'n'Roll Radio....from the End Of The Century LP and goes out to Rose.

      2. The Ramones....We Want The Airwaves....from the Pleasant Dreams LP and for Rose.

      3. Hiroshima Hearts....The Well...demo from this local combo that will be playing saturday night at Call The Office. More on HH in a future show.

      4. catl....Save Myself....from This Shakin' House LP and they will be at Call The Office saturday night.

      5. Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies.....Resurrection of NV....live to air here on Radio What Wave. This song is also featured on Lionel's The Agitator CD.

      6. Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies....Smile....as above.

      7. Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies....Where Will They Go....as above.

      8. Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies....1 2 3...as above.
Quick station break for some commercials and some background technical issues.

      9. Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies....If...as above

      10. Lionel Lodge and the Cheekies...Little Row Boat...as above.

      11. Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies...The In Between....as above

      12. Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies....Dancing With The Moon...as above.

      13. Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies....Over and Into Life....as above.

It was around this time, Lionel came into the onair studio and we had a bit of a yammerfest talking about the old times. There was a lot of London history here for you younguns.

      12. Lionel Lodge.....The Resurrection of NV...from The Agitator CD....I messed up and played the wrong track as Lionel was running back into the studio to finish the set. On live radio anything can and will happen!

      13. Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies....The Agitator....

      14. Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies....Sheena/Rosie Is A Punk Rocker....this was a special song that went out to Rose Pigott. Jeffy B sang this one and it was a very last minute thing! Huge Thanx to the band for doing this!!

      15. Lionel Lodge and  The Cheekies... Hold On. Another last minute addition as we had a tiny bit of extra time for the live to air.

      16. Bo Diddley....Elephant Man....from the Drive By Bo CD and we faded this one out to end the show.

Big Thanx to Lionel Lodge and The Cheekies for taking the time to play live to air on Radio WW! There's pics posted on the Radio WW page to show how much effort it takes to do one of these things! And a big thanx to Alex and Taylor for working the sound and arranging for everything to happen!! And thanx to you, the listener for digging this and tuning in weekly for the madness that is Radio What Wave!!

And here's a link to the archived show, it will only be up 2 weeks from air time:

      http://chrwradio.ca/programs/radio-what-wave

Next week, it's an all local show featuring the early years of punk/new wave in London Ontario. Lots of yammering as the history will be revealed between lots of unaired and unreleased music from the era as well as some records you may have heard prior. We'll be digging deep into the WW Archives for this one!

Radio What Wave Playlist Feb /12 2015. The Last Pogo Jumps Again Part 4. The London Ontario Years

As the title suggests, this is the story of London Ontario punk/new wave from before ground zero, right up till 7:30 PM when we run out of time. This show covers the very early years, further shows will carry on from where we end on this one.

      1. Nihilst Spasm Band....No Canada...from their very first record in 1967. Home made instruments, no musical experience, no talent and 50 years later these artists are still playing every now and then! Proof there is life in London Ontario.

      2. Peter Tangredi....Life Is A Crazy Passion....from the Demics Tribute CD. Pete was in a band called Crash 80's whom we'll hear on the next part in this series. His outlook, as expressed by the lyrics in this song, summed up what life was like for us when punk started!! A breath of fresh air!!

      3. Eddie And The Hot Rods....Ignore Them....recorded live at Fryfogles Tavern, London Ontario 11/7/1977. Part of a 3 night residency, and the very first 'punk' band from out of the country to play here.  These guys instructed us in how it was done. "Get outta your chairs and dance and stop watching your 21" colour television" Barry Masters shouted at the crowd. People listened and we started to get it! For those that aren't aware, the change to punk from mainstream was monumental in every way! Fashion, art, music, clothing, outlook, ideology. One of the biggest movements of the 20th century and overlooked for so many years by mainstream.

      4. Eddie and The Hot Rods....Beginning Of The End....as above. Got an email from someone who was at the show and was blown away as he remembered the Hot Rods doing this song!! Only on Radio What Wave!

      5. The Curse....Killer Bees....recorded live at Forest City Gallery, 11/25/1977. The first all female punk band to play London....in fact one of the very first all female punk bands. From Toronto, lots of attitude and a 7 song set. Unfortunatly The Ugly (also from Toronto) didn't arrive at the gig and The Curse had to play their same set 3 times. They changed the order of the songs for some variety. Watch out for that raw meat aimed at the band!!

      6. The Demics....Get Me To The World On Time....recorded live at The Cedar Lounge fall 1978. Our first ever punk rock band here in London.  One of the few elements of London Ontario punk rock that all seem to remember. There was a lot more to see/hear/remember of the local scene and that's why we're doing these specials. Should mention, this is a cover of the Electric Prunes, a so called 60's garage band. Most of the 70's punk bands were influenced by the 60's garage sounds a decade prior.

      7. Uranus....Cruisin'....recorded live off CFNY 1980. Our other major local band and the band that started it all! Uranus, the name is a piss take on the band names of the day, was a band with not only a sense of humour, but really good musical taste. They were around prior to the so called punk/new wave thing, playing real rock'n'roll when that was NOT the cool thing to do! Playing covers of Johnny Burnette, Ricky Nelson, Dave Edmunds, Nick Lowe, Flamin' Groovies and so much more, they had crowds up and dancing when this wasn't supposed to happen! They were the first band to play the Blue Boot, which became the Cedar Lounge and brought The Demics into this place. Ground Zero!!!  Believe it or not, they made the top 10 in Canada in 1980, a fact that is forgotten in London, except on Radio WW! I confess, this is THE BAND that did it for me!!! And they were the choice band of the bikers! The gangs, not the wannabees!

      8. Uranus....Shake Some Action.... as above. One of my all time fave songs and in the top 10 lists of many music geeks!! Sometimes i indulge....

      9. The Regulators....Bar Room Bore....recorded live at The Cedar Lounge 1979. Once the gates were opened, bands formed and this was one of the first. Heavily influenced by Velvet Underground and Lou Reed in look and sound these guys (and gal) released one 7" that didn't live up to their live sound. That's why we played a live track!

      10. The Regulators....Sherry Share-It.... as above. Enjoy the live sound!

      11. The Stoves...Look Through Any Window....recorded live at the Cedar Lounge. Another one of the first local combos. These guys had 3 part harmonies, tight instrumentation, could write great songs and then broke apart. One of the bands that could have and should have. As Demic singer Keith used to say when intro-ing them 'THIS IS THE BEST FUCKING BAND IN LONDON". And Keith was right!!

      12. The Stoves....Roller Coaster... as above. Just couldn't get enough of these guys, and after The Hollies cover above, had to prove to you they could write great songs!!!

      13. Nihilst Spasm Band....This Is A Test....from a CD whose title is hieroglyphics.  And this was the end of the show test.

Here's some books on the local scene well worth picking up, if you're interested:

      1. At The York.....Wayne A Johnston    This is an oral history of The York Hotel, which is now Call The Office.

      2. Treat Me Like Dirt.....Liz Worth....This is an oral history of the Toronto and area punk rising. There are many references to London and the story of The Demics forming is included.

      3. Graphic Underground: London 1977-1990.....Brian Lambert. This was the book that accompanied our art display of the same name in Oct/Nov 2012. It covers the posters, zines, epherma of the mentioned time period.

      4. What Wave 24.....O'Halloran....This is the band history of London Ontario from about 1976 up to about 1992. There are band trees, history, band members, look at the venues etc. Also comes with a 90m cassette of unreleased music from London  Ontario during the above time period.  Highly recommended, although i could be slightly biased on this one.

Huge Huge thanx for all the crazies that phoned in during this show!!! What a load of memories we all shared!! Who woulda thunk over 35 years later, we'd still be digging these sounds!!
And a HUGE thanx for all the emails,  facebook messages etc......we were overwhelmed and still are. Radio What Wave listeners are the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!

Not on next week, our good pal, Ryan In The Red will be filling in and doing a bang up job as he always does!! Thanx Ryan!!
In 2 weeks, Feb 26th we've got a special guest on for the entire show....Mr Dave Rave!!!   Former member of The Shakes, Teenage Head, Dave Rave Conspiracy, Angelii and Rave and so many more!  We've had Dave on before, almost 2 years ago and that was one of our most highly listened to shows!!! So we're gonna do it again and Dave promises to bring his guitar along, so just about anything can and will happen.

In 3 weeks, Mar 5th, we'll be bringing the next part of the London Years to your ears. On that show, we hope to be playing; The Hippies, Crash 80's, Radio 4, Generics and so many more great local bands from that era!! Facebook event has been set up.

Radio What Wave Playlist March 5/2015  The Last Pogo Jumps Again Part 5  London Scene Part 2

Back in the saddle after a few weeks off. This show is the continuing series on the documentary The Last Pogo Jumps Again and the second of the beginnings of the London Ontario punk/new wave scene.

      1. Forgotten Rebels...Hello Hello...from This Ain't Hollywood LP. Good song for a comeback and there's no way in hell Gary Glitter will get played on this show after his conviction this week. The Rebels played their first of many shows at The Cedar Lounge in the summer of 1980. And they are coming back to town April 4th, Call The Office.

      2. The Zellots...Object....recorded live at The Kent Hotel in Waterloo approx 1979.

      3. The Zellots...Boots.... as above.

      4. The Perks....Hollis Grand..from their only 7".

      5. NFG... At The Boot....recorded live approx 1978. No details available on this one, as bass player Bob Gliddon found it a couple years back.

      6. NFG...Media Junkie.... as above.

      7. NFG...Hijack Victim... as above. One of my all time fave songs from London Ontario Canada!

      8. The Sinners.... No Brains Required....from their only 7".

      9. The Sinners... Attitude Is Everything... as above.

      10. Crash 80's.... Waiting For The Heat....from their only 7". Anyone have any live or demo tapes of Crash 80's???  Please get in touch if you do.

      11. Hot House...With My Fire...from the Burn It Down LP. Protopunk or cheap heavy metal? They switched gears and moved in a more punk direction and played the Cedar Lounge quite often.

      12.  Generics....Oh Well...from a 1983 demo. Demics cover.

      13. Generics...I Wanted To Be A Punk By My Mummy Wouldn't Let Me....from Slippery's Club Hits, the cassette that came with What Wave 24.

      14. Generics...Thoughts In The Brunswick...from a 1983 demo.

      15. The Terminals....Spiderman....live recording 12/16/1983. Probably from The Victoria Tavern.

      16. The Terminals...License to Swill...as above and lovingly dedicated to the engineering students at Western University!

      17. The Hippies....Nuclear Disaster...from their only 7"

      18. Dead Rabbits....I Don't Care...recorded live 9/21/1980 at the Cedar Lounge.

      19. Dead Rabbits...Into The Future....as above.

      20. The Hippies....How You Gonna Live...from their only 7"

Thanx for putting up with my screwups on this, my first show back in a few weeks. I was extremely nervous doing this one and hopefully that didn't come across onair. And HUGE thanx for all the supportive phone calls, messages and emails. Radio WW listeners are the best!!!
Back on March 12th with a regular show...ie lots of new music and an interview with The Intrusions, an Aylmer based hardcore combo.

      Radio What Wave Playlist  Mar12/2015

This show had an interview with Jonathan Wall of Intrusions and Joe Bonasia of Nobody's Favourite Records record label. And then we added an extra hour to the show, playing Demics live from the Cedar Lounge 1978 (thanx to Keith Wilson for digging this up). For those that don't know, the Demics were London Ontario's first punk combo, heavily influenced by 60's garagepunk/Stooges/Bowie etc.

      1. Demics....Heart Of The City....live from The Cedar Lounge 1978.

      2. Buzz Deluxe...Contagious...brand new demo. They last appeared as a 2 piece, but after a hiatus, they are back playing live as a 3 piece.

      3. Harmonica Lewinsky....Boy On Fire....from their brand new 7" and from Rochester NY.

      4. OBGM's....Pill...from their brand new self titled CD and will be playing at CTO in London tonite.

      5. OBGM's...I Just Wanna Love...as above, but meant to play Inclusions.

RIght around here we had a phone conversation with Jonathan Wall of Intrusions and talked about their show happening tonite at APK in London. From there, we had the world premier of an Inclusion song that was finished mere hours prior to this radio show.

      6. Intrusions....Picture Void....brand new demo

      7. Lonesome Ghost....Haunted By God....from a What Wave cassette released on Record Store Day 4/16/2011. Brandon, the drummer for Lonesome Ghost, is now the singer for Intrusions.

      8. Excelsior....Undead Fourth Reich....from their recent 7" EP Punk Floyd EP. Another local combo well worth checking out.

      9. Earl Vince and The Valiants...Somebody's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked in Tonite....from British Archives Volume 4 on RCA Records. The original version of this tune featuring members of Fleetwood Mac.

      10. Sister Rosetta Tharpe...Jericho...from the Gospel Train LP. The Godmother of rock'n'roll was born 100 years ago this month.

Right around this time Joe Bonasia came onair to talk about his new record label, Nobody's Favourite Records, that will be releasing some compilation records. Then we played a song by Astoria, a band that Joe just happens to be singer/guitarist for.

      11. Astoria....Wake Up Sound...from their self titled debut CD.

      12. Torquemadas....Teenage Head...from the compilation LP Positive Vibrations. Not to be confused with the Flamin' Groovies tune of the same name. This set of NZ music goes out to my daughter Rox, who is presently in NZ.

      13. The Clean...Billy Two....from the compilation LP Beyond The Southern Cross. My fave tune by this NZ combo.

      14. Chris Knox....I Wanna Look Like Darcy Clay...from the Beat CD. Chris is a veteran of many many NZ combos.

      15. X....Slash Your Face...from X-Spurts, The 1977 Recordings LP on Ugly Pop Records. This is the Australian X, not to be confused with the US combo of the same name. We'll be having Simon Harvey from Ugly Pop Records on next week's show.

Radio What Wave Playlist Mar 19/2015

This show featured an interview with Simon Harvey of Ugly Pop Records, one of the finest record labels in North America. And since the London Record Show is on sunday, it's an almost all record show today.

      4. The Real Kids....I Can't Shake That Girl...from their Shake...Outta Control LP on Ugly Pop Records.

You can get Ugly Pop records here in London at Speed City Records, or order direct from the Ugly Pop website. A great record label and it's right here in Ontario so get some of these releases for your aural sanity!!

      15. Captain Bringdown and the Buzzkillers....A Dick Shin....from their only 7". Local combo who recently broke up.

Radio What Wave Playlist April 23/2015

      1. Bloody Diamonds.... She Ain't Pretty....from a live to air on Radio WW 9/27/2012. And they'll be playing live at APK Saturday April 25th. Great combo from Halifax that makes the effort to tour this way every year of so.

      2. Black Frame Spectacle...A Line In The Sand...from their Grady Sessions CD. Dorchester 2 piece that will be playing with Bloody Diamonds on Sat nite.

      3. 905s...What Are We Receiving....from their Shake Down CD that just came out. Brampton Ontario, just outside of Toronto is their home.

      4. Intrusions.....WSIB...from their very recent demo. Aylmer Ontario combo who are hosting a big bash in their hometown on Saturday night!

      5. Noble Savages...Fire In The World....latest demo from this bunch of Hamilton hoodlums. Saw them play a coupla weeks ago and new drummer Stacey Case really adds a whallop to their sound.

      6. Mooney Suzuki...Electric Sweat....from the CD of the same name from 2002 and goes out to loyal listener Mike Baarda!

      7. Demics....400 Blows...from their self titled LP. This was a song that used to get me up and dancing many years ago!

      8. UIC....Pushed In To The Hole....from the Wiseman Sessions.  UIC at their finest and we're still waiting for this to come out on vinyl with pics and liner notes. The nephew of Dave Robinson (vocals) and Fred Robinson (guitar) phoned in to thank me for playing this one! And nephew Mike's kids were listening....that would make Fred and Dave their great uncles!! It's an incestuous situation happening here!

      9. Fred McDowell and Johnny Woods....Shake 'Em On Down...from the Memphis Swamp Jam double LP from 1969. 2 guys with a guitar and a harmonica and it sounds like a steam engine taking off through a late night deserted downtown. Industrial noise at its finest!! And this song blows my mind every time i hear it!

      10. John Hammond....Who Do You Love?...from his So Many Roads LP from 1965. Part of John's backup band is The Band, prior to, when they were up and coming cats that could play just about anything! That Robbie Robertson guitar solo sure does rip!!

      11. Howlin' Wolf....I'm Evil...from a greatest hits record and recorded back in 1954. Next time you see Kerry Piper, ask him about the time he got Howlin' Wolf to autograph his menu!

      12.  Speaking Tongues....What's Yer Story....from their debut CD. 2 piece blues/boogie/punk combo outta Toronto who played here a number of times before packing it in. Drummer Pete sometimes plays harp for catl when they do a Toronto show.

      13. Skirt Chasers....Train Riding...from their only CD. Another 2 piece outta Toronto that fueled up on boogie/blues and punk to create a wild and exciting sound!

      14. Immortal Lee County Killers...Boom Boom...from their These Bones Will Rise To Love You Again CD from 2005. And indeed the title is true every time i listen to this song and think about listening to Skip James. These guys blew through town just after releasing this one and were absolutely devastating on the stage of Call The Office. Then they promptly broke up.

      15. Hiroshima Hearts...14 Floors...from a recent demo. HH are playing at the next Rock'n'Roll Rent Party on May 3rd and then again a live to air here on Radio WW on May 14th. You've been warned, so take appropriate action!

      16. Larry Lee....Odd Man Out...from the Larry Lee and The Leesures LP. Early 60's and local and this song used to get covered by local rbilly combo, The Black Holes.

      17. Mckenna Mendelson Mainline....Think I'm Losing My Marbles....from the Stink LP and features Mendelson Joe on the lead vocals on this one. There's a short documentary on MJ somewhere out in youtube land covering his present life and art.

      18. Legend Killers....Strychnine....from their very first demos 1986. Local combo who appeared on every What Wave compilation cassette and also released a 7" on WW Records back in 1989.

      19. Miracle Workers....I'm Hung Up....from the Moxies Revenge LP on Get Hip Records from 1989. Moxie was the original label that these some of these sessions appeared on back in about 1983.

      21. The Cramps.... Don't Eat Stuff Off The Sidewalk....from the 1981 LP, Psychedelic Jungle. One of my all time fave LP's!!

      22. The Cramps...Can't Find My Mind.... as above.

      23. The Litter....Action Woman...from Pebbles Volume 1. Big Thanx to Greg Shaw of Bomp Records for starting the ball rolling with his Pebbles series of compilations of 60's garage punk. 27 volumes in total and then about 23 more of Highs In The Mid 60's LP's!!

      24. The Satans.... Makin' Deals....from Pebbles Volume 2.

      25. Count Bishops.... Teenage Letter....from the Speedball Plus 11 CD on Chiswick Records. 1975 protopunk'n'roll!!!
