Haha...that's probably it. He's gonna give Keef Richards a run for the money!

just picked up the t.rex unchained box set - 8 cds of demos and rarities... i admit it, im a t.rex tragic... grew up on him and sweet and slade ... Marc Bolan was one of my first heroes... in australia where glam was a big hit but we didnt have many of our own bands picking up on it... maybe because of the pub scene here being more raucous and rock and roll... not a lot of dressing up! wasnt the done thing! politics etc prob made a difference too...
The artist with the most LPs in my stash is James Brown. Haven't counted in a long time, but it's probably creeping up on 30 by now.
Others with ten or more titles:
Kinks
Grass Roots
Bo Diddley
Sam The Sham
Paul Revere & the Raiders
Jerry Lee Lewis
Ventures
Johnny Cash
Temptations
Rolling Stones
Link Wray
Louis Prima
Syl Johnson
Wilson Pickett
that is one hell of a collection!! jealous as hell!! great stuff

The Damned followed by the Ramones. Mostly because they both have released so many damned (get it?) records and 7" sleeve variations etc etc that sucker a collector nerd like me to buy. No picture of me, but a set a photos I'd snapped for another forum. I have to give credit though to an old friend who sold me his entire Damned 7" collection back in the 80's. I knew it hurt him, but he knew it was going to a good home. That's where a good chunk of my Damned and Capt. Sensible singles came from.
1. Guided By Voices
2. J Church
3. Boyracer
Between Bob Pollard, Lance Hahn, and Stew Anderson, I am not sure how my record funds survived.
Elvis P. and Neil Young .....
No need to write a single word about the KING. He will always be my " light in the dark "
Neil Young is so much " part of my life " ... he writes the songs I'll never have talent for ....
I didn't make it to Austin, but I spent some time listening to Burger's stream from their show last Friday night. The Resonars played at 2AM my time and killed it -- I found a little bit from their Trouble In Mind set the next day on YouTube.
Yeah, I gotta agree with this post.
If you're looking for cheap options then look at the Guitar Fetish site that The Ungodly 77's pointed out. The GFS pickups they sell are worth looking at.
I will say after fitting a lot of splittable Humbuckers into guitars over the years that none of them have sounded like that true single coil sound.

Swapping the pickups will change the tone, but it's not gonna make your SG sound like a Legacy. There's a lot more to the Legacy tone than just the pickups.
Thanks lads. I'll study this well.
Take a look at some of the humbucker sized P-90 pickups, you'll get a much brighter sound, same fit as a humbucker. SGs with P-90s are fabulous!
Seymour Duncan
Jason Lollar P-92 ($$$$ but great)
You might also try changing the values of the pots (but keep the old ones in case you ever want to change it back...).
But 7JDH14 is right, the SG wont sound like the GL, but it might sound pretty nice!

Show #366: "Bands & Artists Starting With M, Part 6"
Every 3 weeks I do a series of shows I call the "Alphabetical Series" where I randomly draw a letter of the alphabet from a hat. Whatever letter I draw, I take all the bands and artists in my collection (from the 50's, 60's & 70's only) that start with that letter and play them in strict alphabetical order one by one until I run out of time. This week I drew the letter "M". This is the sixth time I've drawn the letter "M", so I will start from where I left off on show #5 (which was with The Joe Meek Orchestra). So, tune in tonight (Friday at 10:00pm EST) to hear 3 hours of bands and artists that start with "M" like: Mefisto, Mehrpouya, Mel & Tim, Melanie, Gil Melle, The Mello-Kings, Melody Fair, Tina & David Meltzer, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes, The Members, Members Of Time, The Menaces, Mendelbaum, Carlos Mendes, Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66, Mendoza, Marianne Mendt, The Menn, Mephistopheles, The Mercenaries, Mercy, Merkin, The Merlynn Tree, Jason Merrick & The Finders, Merriday Park, and many others!!

Where are you based? In the UK, these dudes are worth checking out:
hi, i just got an old Sony reel to reel. i want to record with it but i need some tape. Anyone know of a place online that sells tape that isn't too costly?
Thanks, Cory
There's a little bit of Fugazi and Gun club according to me...
I'm beginning to think it might be a local Rochester band that pre-dated my move here in 1990. Thanks to all of you for trying!
Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking...

No idea....Sounds like an early to mid -80's Post Punk thing (And , by that , I mean stuff like The Minutemen as well as experimental bands from London that only 50 people ever heard until recently....). Maybe not. The singer does'nt sound familiar. Somebody else might recognize it , tho'.
definitely wish i had the Big Beat UK Trash stuff, the Gories, the Gruesomes, anything Billy Childish, Cramps (Gravest Hits & any live recordings), Gun Club, Gravedigger V, Mummies & the 1st Meteors album.
J'etaime Le Pere Bloodshot Bill , and , Hell , he does'nt even live here !
I'm out of the loop. The weather's been shitty (Tho , mild for a Chicago winter , I grant you.) , and The CTA is slower than ever....I recently saw Tutu and The Pirates and The Mentally Ill do a bill together. Everyone came to see Tutu (Popular late 70's comical Punk Band) , but , while they were GOOD , just predictable , I thought The Mentally Ill blew them off the stage (Figuratively.) . Mentally Ill were based in Deerfield , Ill. , released two singles ("Gacy's Place " being their calling card.) , and did their very first gig almost 30 years after forming (The C*nts , arguably Chicago's first Garage revisionist group , kept a comparably low profile for years , as well.)....
Quite honestly, I've had a bad sinus headache all day long, and I didn't sleep too well last night, so death is looking pretty good right now.

A tad harsh to wish someone dead cause they don't share your love for some bloke ain't it?
