Aleix Martinez, the Cramps' publicist, tells me it's true. "Lux passed away this morning due to an existing heart condition at Glendale Memorial Hospital in Glendale, California at 4:30 AM PST today. The family requests that you respect their privacy during this difficult time. "

                        nooooooooooooo! This really hurts...my stomach just dropped about 12 flights. The Cramps were such a big influence on my music and a great doorway to the whole garage scene. I guess I feel pretty dam lucky to see them a couple a years ago. Fuck! Ron Asheton now Lux. Rest in Peace.

It goes without sayin' that the Cramps are one o' the most trashy bands (and one o' my top favs of all time!) and without them turnin' me on this sleaze...well, shit I don't wanna think about that...fuckin' sad.

                                I was close to the band around 1985-88. Candy Del Mar was a pal of mine when I was a teenager so I met the band a couple of times. There was a time when they were my absolute favorite band! This is sad news indeed. Trying to get some info but it is difficult at the moment. Keep us posted.
