Hi , hey I had not heard the Readies so I checked their myspace, that shit ROCKS and I want more.  Anyone have some they can send over to me, even a couple of tunes, or know where there is more posted?  I will def. be on the lookout down here in the swamp and when I'm back up in the Detroit area visiting for live shows.  Do they have a CDs out?

The best band I've seen in the past 2 years has to be The Parents...Amazing bloody singer/songwriter...I personally can't get enough of them, just a pity they don't play live as much as they should.

 220 Short is in the process of recording a new album. We have been looking at Discmakers' CD Replication packages, but feel that we could find a better deal elsewhere. Any suggestions?

can anyone recommend any record distributors that cater to garage/punk/rock n' roll and may accept submissions for small releases?  Especially in Europe. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions!!

This is such tragic, shocking news.  I first heard of Ricky Kulwicki in high school; his younger sister went to school with us, and his band the Frantix was the only thing close to real punk rock that we felt we had in 1980's suburban wasteland of Aurora CO.  He was so dreamy, so sweet, and such a rocker.  And he was practically ONE OF OUR OWN, so I followed everything he did.  I am who I am in part because of him.  I had the good fortune to call him a friend.  He was an amazing man, rocker, guitar player, father, and friend.  R.I.P. Ricky, you made the world a better place.

Sad to report the news here that a member of one of our Hideout bands has passed away. Ricky Kulwicki of The Buckingham Squares, who was also in the Sub Pop band The Fluid, passed away yesterday at the age of 49.
