A friend is trying to identify the band & song title. Pretty cool tune, dig the slide guitar. I swear they sound either Aussie or Kiwi to my ears... Anyone?

Members of Hell Crab City and Bunt will be running an as-of-yet untitled Sydney Garage Punk Hideout festival in November at a venue known for supporting Australia bands. We’re in early days still, but are happy to announce we are talking to some great bands about the line-up and will have most of this set in stone shortly. To everyone who’s been in touch about supporting this event from a logistical and artistic point of view, we will be in touch soon. Thanks to all of you for your support.

We would be keen to come from Melbourne to play, a few of the guys are actually from Sydney anyways so could rally a bit of a crew for sure!
Cheers

Dead Boy is spot on, definitely check those places. I also have to recommend HATAGAYA HEAVY SICK, the place I put on shows, although I have nothing on in August. Mostly a garage, rockabilly, mods venue but they also have punk/new wave/hardcore/noise bands play there. Melt-banana played there last month.

SHINJUKU JAM... this place is right across the street from Red Cloth and they have a similar mods, surf, rockabilly, garage scene with a bit more cutesy kinda girl punk.
Not sure what I am up to this August, so let me know if you are in need of a guide.
Also, Tokyo Gig Guide is a good resource:

Anyway, you'll find many live houses (URL's) at Osaka and Tokyo, but I haven't been to Osaka for many years.
Do you know

Mrs Yates and myself will be in Osaka and Tokyo late August and hoping to hit some live houses for some kick ass R n R. We are big fans of bands like Guitar Wolf, DMBQ, Mad 3, etc and I listen to more Japanoise than is good for you
Can someone fill me in on good venues.
I have managed to find a few places via google etc, but I am sure there are heaps more that I can't find.
Any links, addresses etc is greatly appreciated.

Sunday in the first week-end of July. (8th?) It's at the CWA Community Hall. I think. I'll get all the details for you. I can't say what each band will be like but I'll have a press kit for you. I didn't send you one already, did I? It's just a shirt, CDs and some other goodies.

Angels of the Tattooed Generation are pretty cool and are pretty much underage too ... perhaps ya can catch them doing something that's suitable ... they used to have the rock'n'roll club thing at Mojo. Maybe they'll bring that back again, that was sweet for any age!

Hola desde Chile, kletzl!
Yeah, there really ain't much action here in Valdivia. I'd be willing to travel up to Concepción, but I am having a hard time finding info on the internet...I have tried to find clubs and bands, but with very little luck. Most everything I find is for Santiago, claro. It would be rad if you could maybe point me in the right (or any!) direction. I will be moving up to Valpo in the winter (July), and I know I'll have an easier time finding kicks there, but I am hurtin' now!
Thanks a lot!!

Well, I can't remember much rock and roll action in Valdivia, but of course the last time I was there was 20 years ago. I'd say Concepción is a much safer bet. Many important bands in Chile come from that city.
