  Just returned home following a birthday party for Kelp guitarist Paul Fritz (aka Pablo Fleece) We dined on carnitas, guac, beer and traunia (geek alert: traunia is the name of the drink the alien offerend Kirk and crew in the Trek episode "The Corbonite Maneuver". He offers it saying "this is traunia". It has become a tradition for Kelp to do a shot of tequila before every show saying "this is traunia") We took a moment to play a couple of songs in the garage. We played a classic Ventures tune called Journey To The Stars and one of our originals Attack of the Sea Monkeys. We returned to eating more cake and beer. The evening ended with my 6 year old Tori and her best friend Sammy performing an interprative dance number to a couple of Slacktone songs. Coming up next: Kelp plays the Santa Barbara Sandcastle Festival.
