I agree with Rod. Rollins really ruined that band. Early stuff is great, though! Timeless.

You're gonna have to write the hosts. Google is of no help at all. They listed Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, and a group called Serious Drinking and some guy named Shihad. But none of them match what you're looking for.

The song IS funny but I don't think it's ridiculous. Maybe it's ridiculous to think that's autobigraphical or something. I noticed while listening to the song that Metallica did a version so I had to hear that. Makes Metallica sound like the Mono Men for a sec there.

I like being able to control the amount of cheese to bread to signal ratio.

I recently purchased a Baja Custom Tone Bender. It's based on the early model type Tone Benders but with additional extras such as a 9v boss style jack & a kill control, which I'm thinking is the bias control, so you can nail that early 60's splatty maestro/drained battery/sliced cone type tone. Unfortunately it's still in transit :(. I've had a few fuzz pedals over the years, I seem to go back to my NYC Big Muff quite a lot, works well on most guitar amps and it's great fun to play slide with and nail that early Jack White tone.

oh my ... so many good-ones within that timeframe ... here's some of my favourites: "Pink Flag" (LP) 1977 - by the WIRE "Realities of War" (EP) 1980 - by Discharge "Inside My Brain" (LP) 1980 - by the Angry Samoans and of course, there's plenty more ... a year later (1981) came out some of the greatest stuff of bands like the Minor Threat, Black Flag, ...

Though not a popular choice these days, but I still enjoy Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols as well as the first Clash album (actually I like both UK and US versions) and the first 3 Ramones albums. Road To Ruin is OK but not really one of my favorites.

The Ramones Pleasant Dreams is '81 but it's definately one of my faves!

I'm currently switching between a 65RI Fender Twin Reverb & Hot Rod Deville. I use a Blues Junior for mostly home use. The Deville has a pretty sweet clean and the gain channel is decent, reverb is very sturdy too. I find my Twin takes pedals a lot better then the Deville, I've used a fuzz face reissue through all three and it sounds like a completely different beast through the Twin. I always prefered the NYC Big Muff but after plugging in that fuzz face holy shit. Obviously the Twin has the better reverb and the tremelo is nice but honestly, I don't think the cleans are THAT much better. Not for the price anyway. Luckily I got mine cheap and only ended up paying $500AUD more for the Twin. I'm contemplating buying a AC15/AC30 though for that invasion/60's garage type sound. Then I might buy a bassman, man you can never have too many amps !

The Stones could practically have their own anthology series of unreleased tunes that should have been released.

Sorry, but I kind of gave up on being the Paul Revere of my generation (running through the streets yelling what to look out for), since I could barely convert anybody. My only outlet these days is telling people on myspace since chances are friends there have similar tastes.

I was once referred to as the "party killer" because I would always try and get people to listen to mix cds and crap I would bring... usually against a lot of protest.
I don't have that problem anymore because I don't have any friends!

After years of hard drugs and even harder living, Williams began making a comeback in the late ’90s. And as recently as 2008, he showed he could still make a powerful album. Reviewing Can You Deal With It?, which he recorded with a band called The New Orleans Hellhounds, I wrote that Williams “gives dirty old men a good name.”
*Fourteen Blazin’ Bangers!! by King Salami and the Cumberland Three. This is a high-voltage British garage/punk band infused with R & B sensibilities. The group is still basically unknown in this great land of ours — I got this album from a German company, Soundflat, though it’s available on the British Dirty Water label) — but I’ve got the feeling that Salami and the boys will be expanding their empire onto these shores before long.
* The Way of the World by Mose Allison. Like Solomon Burke and Bettye Lavette before him, this venerated Mississippi jazz/blues singer gets the full Joe Henry tent on this, his first new studio album in a dozen years or so.
