"Talk Shit" by Si Si Si http://sisisi.bandcamp.com/track/talk-shit
I need some help - This Sept/October's podcast is about boxing. I have a few tracks but am looking for some songs I may not have heard - preferably in the garage punk vein.
Any recommendations? Any type of fisticuffs will do.
I'm not using Dylan's "Hurricane" as it is 4 days long.

The Sonics - Don't You Just Know It.
Brilliant song and that's all you need. At least that's all -I- need.
Hell yeah!
Just about anything by The Dwarves.
The Pork Dukes - Makin' Bacon
First "punk" single I ever bought!
Another Devil Dogs song that comes to mind:
i love songs about ugly chicks, too. here are two of da best!
Ona recent episode of The Big Enchilada, I played "Davy, You Upset My Home" by Joe Tex. It's about a guy who's jealous because his girl is really into Davy Crockett. (I think this is from the late '50s when Davy Crockett was a very popular TV show.)
The girl even buys Davy Crockett false teeth because, Joe sings, "I punched her in the mouth last night."
Another line: "I whipped her so until she went insane. And now she wants to buy herself a Davy Crockett brain."
This Jabbers song fits the bill as well as this Angry Samoans tune that by today's standards are certainly offensive!
shit they're the fucking best
Man, there's so many...One I can throw in here is Junior Brown...

some of my all time favorites are:
johnny paycheck-the cave
the louvin brothers-...just about any of their stuff
eddie noack- psycho, and a lot of his other stuff is great
leon payne- just about anything of his( he also wrote lost highway for hank and psycho for eddie noack)

http://www.mevio.com/episode/291930/hayride-to-hell-6My favorite Female Fronted Band is Shannon and the Clams, hands down!
Surprised little mention of Babes in Toyland. Great girl grunge!
Please don't judge me, but I really like the Yeah Yeah Yeah's... They have this really cool vibe and of course, the amazing vocals of Karen O. They've got plenty of good records that prove their greatness.
And of course, can't forget about Janis Joplin. Good vocals, lyrical content and of course, good music in overall.
Is the podcast happening? I can recommend some awesome nz acts to add to your show. I do a show on bfm so dont have the time, but definately keen to subscribe.
Just posted this on my music blog.
Thanx Sleazy...and that's Ron in the background crunching out killer riffs!

whatwave dave said:Destroy All Monsters morphed into Dark Carnival, with Ron Asheton on guitar and his brother Scott on the drums....here's Niagara picking butts off the stage of Call The Office in London Ontario 10/12/90. Yes, they were loud, but it was more than worth it to meet a coupla Stooges and Niagara. Picture is from the Whatwave Archives.
