That's a classic ! I knew he was saying "Peanuts" , he HAD to be...but , it always sounded like "I'll bet my penis to a candy bar...". Good early example. Someone asked me which song did I think had the first F-Bomb. I was'nt sure , but , "Shave 'em Dry" (Early 30'S) is posilutely FILTHY.

Maybe you've heard of , or seen , the book "'Scuse Me While I Kiss This Guy" , about "Frequently" misheard lyrics , when maybe a half - dozen or so entries were ever heard that way by anyone other than the compilers , such as : 

"There's a bathroom on the right" ("There's a bad moon on the rise").

When I was in Junior High , "Miss You" was a big deal , even though I was about the only kid in my school who even liked The Stones.

well, this is not excactily a punk song, but its been haunting me ever since first time saw movie ghost world. its not on the soundtrack, but in a movie there¨s one dude with nuncha sticks just outside the crosseries, and he play th song so loud that the owner runs him out of the store...other songs in the film are excellent too, but i wonder why leave this crazy rock killer out????

Does anyone know who this band is playing in the background? Sounds like The Buzzcocks, The Notsensibles and The Thought Criminals, but it's not them. It's an Aussie movie from '81 called Puberty Blues and most of the soundtrack is by Aussie groups/artists, so it may be an Aussie band. I've been lookin' for a while with no luck, so I decided to upload that specific scene in the hopes that someone online will know.

Your hearing can be affected by a lot of things. Do you smoke cigarettes or pot? Chances are your ear canals aren't draining properly. Had a really bad head cold lately? Your sinuses might still be really fucked up. There's environmental factors too, mold spores in the air can fuck up ear canals, allergies to animals, swimming all the time can cause issues. I get a lot of ear problems, I've had glue ear in my right ear for twenty odd years. I got a burst ear drum in my right ear a couple of months ago from a massive ear infection, It's only just coming right. Sometimes I get tinnitus so bad in my right ear I can't hear anything for a couple of seconds, if you can imagine what incredibly loud annoying feedback is like then your half way there. 

You want my advice? Don't fuck around, get it checked for medical shit and buy some good quality earplugs to try to minimize any long term serious damage.

Someone in my area's selling one, which is why I ask. I don't necessarily need the bass, but I thought it might work tone-wise with some surf tunes I play with a buddy. Or at the very least, it would look cool. 

I owned a brand new short scale version of this guitar. It was great, but it is unlike your typical bass guitar and will be quite different from the two you already use. With that being said, it might be cool to have three different types of basses with a variety of tones, feel, weight, etc.

This guitar is great for the cash, and cool looking if you like the style. It is light weight and has a unique tone. The tuning pegs are not heavier/larger ones like on most basses, for some unknown reason. So, that is pretty much the only thing I can complain about. 

You can get these new for pretty cheap, and could probably find a used model at a steal.

Plus, the cool thing about Danelectro guitars are they are generally considered "collectible" and hold their value better than a lot of other guitars (that aren't Fenders or Gibsons).

I'm looking for feedback on this Danelectro bass. Has anyone in the group here had the opportunity to use this model. How does it compare to other basses? What did you like/dislike about this model?

I currently own a Thunderbird and a Fender vintage modified.
