I remember seeing a news article about the pistols the same yr charlie chaplin died at christmas. I was curious. I already was kinda drawn to greasy sounding country and rawk and always liked hearing something new. I just listened to everything I could get my hands on. I had a paper route and could buy music whenever I wanted and I was 11. I lived next to an Indian reservation and some of the kids had been fostered in Winnipeg and a few came back all punked out.  When I was 13 in 79 I went away to summer camp and the worm turned. I went back to my little farm town on the prairies. New things were going on for me but not so much everyone else. I began an adventurous journey thru life that was strengthening and full of good friends and much love and passion. I took endless razzing and ghad alot of violence and abuse hurled my way by mindless redneck cunts. But I remained. I rocked. I am shaped by both the good and the bad that punk brought to me.

Cool. Yeah, here in the greater Detroit area, we don't really hear much of what is going on in other parts of the state. We know there are things going on in Lansing and Kalamazoo (I live in Ann Arbor and, even though the scene here is good in comparison to most parts of the state, it still isn't very thrilling, considering this is the home of the MC5 and Stooges). But, I know that cool things can happen anywhere, as long as there are a motivated few, many cool things can happen. I am just surprised I've never heard of Ice Pick. 

I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE HEARD DEMIAN'S ALBUM , THOUGH , I DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS EVER LEGALLY REISSUED. COLLECTIBLES MIGHT HAVE A CRAP - SOUNDING CD. I DON'T LISTEN TO IT AS MUCH AS THE BUBBLE PUPPY LP ( I SCORED AN ORIGINAL COPY OF THE  DEMIAN LP AT THE OLD RECORD EXCHANGE ON MORSE , A DUSTY , DIRTY USED RECORD STORE JAMES AND I USED TO FREQUENT , PRESIDED OVER BY A CAT NAMED CHARLIE WHO MUST HAVE WEIGHED 40 POUNDS.)......ACTUALLY , MY FAVORITES ARE THE SINGLES , PARTICULARLY "Thinkin' about Thinkin'". they did anothe ralbum , in the late 70's , under another name (I'm forgetting , now.) and one in the 80's as Bubble Puppy again (Which , I read recently , is only rumored to exist. My copy is'nt some hallucination.)

Bubble Puppy probably fall under that category of  Bands that were'nt considered cool to like for a long time , but   , are , now , like Iron Butterfly , Black Oak Arkansas, Brownsville Station , etc.

BESIDES THE GREENFUZ , I CAN'T REMEMBER WHO ELSE WAS.....But , I have a friend who thought he was going to blow the minds of all his Old School Punk Rock FRIENDS BY PUBLICALLY ANNOUNCING THAT HE LIKES ABBA. I had to tell him , even Abba has Punk cred in some circles ,  now , so , don't expect anyone to be shocked.Sorry , we were talking what we DON'T like (Not that I particularly like Abba.) . I don't know if I ever missed any shows because I had school the next day. The only shows I could get into , in my teens , were usually on weekends and not very late ,anyway.

The Ramones were very good about doing all ages  shows when the concept of an all ages show or venue virtually did'nt exist.

what kind of music are you playing?

i am having intermittent tone troubles with my Bandmaster, and i will eventually get it looked at. but for now i would like to explore some other sounds anyway.

Side note- I purposely avoid studying gear the same way i avoid "mastering" scales/ the fret board. i don't know what my theory is really, but it seems to take some of the rock and roll out of it, to me.

so... i am a craigslister, and out looking for a used midsize / back up amp. lightweight would be awesome. and maybe i should get something known for dependability, since the bandmaster is letting me down lately.

any suggestions?
