    • Thanks Rex!  Working now!  Bravo!

    • Let me know if it works for you now. I think I accidentally made it go away when I was making some customizations awhile ago. Sorry!

    • Weird. It must've gone away in a recent update. I'll see if Sarah has had a chance to investigate this yet.

    • SWT- Did you figure out a solution on this?  I can't figure it out either!

    • I wanted to update the music player in my "Take a Bite out of the Big Enchilada" post in Shakin' Street, as I've done almost every month in the past.. But I can't find the edit icon.

    • Thanks Preacher!

    • Oh, and you may also have another message from itunes about the validity of "Internet Archive" or something like that...This time, just click on the "OK", "yes" or whatever button (the one of the left) to allow the download, and you'll get your favorite GPPR shows as usual.

Internet Archive (Archive.org) is the place where some of us are posting their podcasts now.

    • When you got the mevio message, just click on the "cancel" button (the one on the right).

But the best thing is to re-subscribe so the message won't appear again.

The thing is Mevio stopped hosting audio shows a few months ago now so we got to move away. The password was to be able, as a podcaster using their service, to get your old shows back before they deleted them definitively, or something like that...

      Hope that'll help.

      Cheers !!!

    • Would anyone know why my I tunes subscription to the GPPR is asking for a Mevio password? I re subscribed and it seems to be updating but the old subscription seems to have stopped working without this password.

    • Click on the requesting person's picture/name, and when you get to their profile there should be a link under their picture that says Accept Friend Request. I think it's like the only way and it's kinda weird.

    • I can't figure it out!

    • If you delete your profile, I'm pretty sure every forum post you ever made will disappear too. Maybe just change the original profile name to an individual person and create a new one for the band.

    • I've received the same question/request from several bands, but unfortunately the answer, at least right now, is no; there's no way (that we know of, anyway) to convert a profile from one member type to another. Your best bet if you really want a band profile is to delete your current one and simply sign up again. You'll lose any friends you've added in the process, but you could always make a list of them and then re-friend them after you re-join. Sorry, I know this isn't the best answer, but it's the best we can offer.

Also, we recommend that bands sign up for the Premium Plan so that they can have virtually unlimited audio and posting abilities. It's just $10/year.

    • Hello there,

We have this account since the very first version of the Hideout. I'm not sure who in the band created it or if there was different registering for bands/artists and regular users at the time.

But the fact is that we are registered as Regular user and wanted to know if there is a way to change it to an Artist account.

      Thanks!

    • Don't know neither if it's related or not... but one thing I know is that you don't have to log in to Mevio to get the podcasts. Well, you even have to forget about Mevio !

For a few days, I got the same message from iTunes ("please log in to Mevio" or that kind of blah blah blah...). I don't understand why since we stopped uploading our shows to Mevio for a few months now.

But all you gotta do is ignore this message and the podcasts will download as usual.

      Hope that helps.

    • I'm not sure if this is related, but Itunes won't download any of these podcasts now - it wants me to log in to mevio. I don't have a mevio account and don't really want another name and password to remember. Is there a way around this? Wait, probably just have to go to each podcast and download them individually...

    • Thanks, Screamin', for your input. I'm just glad that the podcasters usually post other places and I can still get me fix of music.

    • Yes same unhappy experience here.

(By the way you can also add the latest episode of the Rock'n'Roll Rampage to the missing list.)

Don't think it comes from your browser.

The same problem occurs on iTunes. I've subscribed to the GPPR feed and those same shows (except Big Enchilada #72 and Motteys Garage #38 who played great and fine) won't download. They do not even appear there...

Is there a problem with the way they've been uploaded or...???

Someone please help us understand and listen to our favorite shows !

    • Until very recently, the GPPR player would load and play every show posted in the player. That is not the case anymore.

      Recent shows not playing:

      -Bubblegum Fuzz 31

      -This Island Surf REDUX

      -Way Past Cool 44

      -Big Enchilada 72

      -Motteys Garage 38

The Fifty Four Forty or Fight's all play as does the Florida Rocks Again.

I am using a Safari web browser 5.1.7 on a PC (work computer). Is anyone else experiencing this or am I the only one?

      Thanks,

      The Francs

    • I've had our host looking into this problem again, since it continues to happen, and they suggested doing this:

When you notice that you're suddenly signed out of the Hideout, go up to the URL in your browser and manually type in "www." before "garagepunk.com" and then reload the page. You should be signed back in.

Weird, I know. I'm trying to see if they can just keep the "www" in the URL field all the time from now on...

    • I updated this plugin and hopefully it works now for you.

    • April 10, 2014 1:22 AM CDT
    • Howdy. I've been trying to edit my Big Enchilada page ( http://garagepunk.com/hideout/6/the-big-enchilada-jukebox )  to add a new media player, etc. (FUCK YOU, MEVIO!)

Anyway, when I try to do that the "Body Content" section is blank. What do I do?

I'm using a PC on Google Chrome.

      thanks in advance

    • Jeff of the Future said:

I do not know how to edit source code.

Well, the source code area is simply where you would paste in any HTML you have that was exported from the spreadsheet.

    • Ok. I will try to hack this and get it back when I can.
