KDHX is a 42,000-watt non-profit FM public radio station operating on the assigned frequency of 88.1 MHz. The broadcast radius of 90 miles includes the entire Metropolitan St. Louis area and its two and a half million residents. The nature of the general programming is a very eclectic blend of music, including jazz, blues, alternative, world beat, rap, rock, reggae/ska, folk, country, R&B, and bluegrass music, as well as provocative informational talk shows dealing with varying issues effecting many segments of the community, as well as frequent BBC News feeds and MonitoRadio broadcasts. KDHX relies on listener support to exist, and is owned by the Double Helix Corporation of St. Louis, and has been on the air since 1988.

The Wayback Machine began airing on KDHX in November of 1995. This weekly graveyard show airs on Saturdays from 3-6am, and is hosted by some freak called Kopper, an old fart fan of garage/punk music and an active participant in the local underground music scene, when there IS one. We need a lot more music to help make the program better, up-to-date on new releases, and just generally more inclusive. The music focuse is primarily on obscure, primitive garage rock’n'roll, 60′s & 70′s punk, surf, blues punk, rockabilly, and frantic R&B classics. We really need more music to increase the show’s scope (obviously), so please send promotional tapes, CDs, and vinyl to the address listed below. In doing so your music is guaranteed airplay (granted it fits the format), and inclusion on our bi-monthly playlist, sent out via snailmail to dozens of record labels, magazines, and bands, as well as being posted in the Primitive Garage Rock’n'Roll folder on America On-Line and the
alt.music.banana-truffle newsgroup on the Internet.  Cassette tapes of the show are available upon request.
