      Hey,

I noticed that my band profile's Member Type shows as Regular Member; it should be Band. Is there a way to fix this? I thought when I set the profile up way prior to the switch-over from NING, that it was Band, but I can't remember. I've noticed a few other Band profiles that show as Regular Member too. Not a big deal, but it does leave bands set as Regular out of searches when people are searching for Bands using the Search tool.

Any one know how to change the Member Type of a profile from Regular to Band?

      Thanks,

      Pete (Kermit's Finger)

Since you joined the Hideout prior to our migration to Social Engine, I don't believe there is any way to convert your profile to a band one. I think this only is an option for people who actually sign up for the first time using Social Engine.

I can send a support request to our new SE hosts to see if they can change these, but there are a LOT of band accounts similar to yours that were carried over from Ning, and I'm sure there's no easy way for them to convert all of them...

Understandable...but also kind of a bummer that the Hideout vets get left out in the cold when it comes to doing band searches using the new site's member search engine. Guessing the same applies to older label/distro profiles..... oh well....
