Podcasting is on-demand audio or video programming (in our case: audio). Podcasting enables you to listen to the content of your choice - when you want to - on your computer or portable MP3 player.
Subscribe to, receive, and transfer our podcasts onto your portable MP3 player, then take them with you and listen to them in the car, on the bus, at work, at the gym, on a campout… anywhere! Podcasting uses RSS technology to distribute content in the form of attached MP3 files that will play back on any portable MP3 player.
To get GaragePunk Podcast programs, download a podcast client such as the free and easy Juice or NIMIQ and subscribe; or you can just copy and paste the feed URL below into the subscriptions window of your current podcast client.

- Open iTunes on your computer.
- In the menu bar, click: Advanced/Subscribe to Podcast…
- Next, copy and paste this feed URL into the box:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/GaragePunkPodcasts - Click “OK”
- That’s it!
- Download one of these programs: Juice, Doppler, Podfeeder, FeedDemon, Nimiq, or BlogMatrix Sparks.
- Install it on your system.
- Add our podcast feed.
- Just click on the “DOWNLOAD” link under the specific podcast post that you would like to hear to listen to the MP3 file directly on your computer. Right-clicking on that same link (option+click if you’re on a Mac) will give you a menu that will enable you to download the MP3 directly to your computer.
Podcast Playlists

Since all you will be getting from this list are playlists, the most emails you will receive from it would be one per day (maximum of five or six per week if every show producer posts their playlist). So there’s no reason to sign up for the daily digest or abridged versions. By the way, just because we have this list does NOT mean each podcaster will always be posting their playlists to it (sometimes they do; sometimes they don’t). The only real way to ensure you know what each person’s playing is to listen closely to the show and make a note of the artist’s name and song title. That way you won’t have to rely on the playlist to map it out for you. Also, if you don’t want to subscribe to the entire podcast network, you can subscribe to individual shows. To find out the RSS feed of your favorite show, check the most recent episode of that particular show and you will see a link to that show’s RSS feed (it’s right next to the DOWNLOAD link). If you would like to contact a show host, you can find links to their individual pages on the GaragePunk Hideout on each of their show posts here on the podcast blog, and you are free to sign up yourself and contact them that way.
Thanks for listening and supporting great rock’n'roll!
