NEW SHOW!
Host: Angel Baby
Angel Baby is on top of the covers, spinning little-known later versions of major hits. From England to the South Pacific, from jazz to rock n’ roll, country & western to rhythm & blues, here are compositions from the pens of such ace songwriters as Hoagy Carmichael, Lee Hazelwood and Leiber & Stoller done by little-known to unknown artists. Relax as she pours some great vintage tunes out of new bottles, sit back and enjoy.

my god. where can I get a copy of the “Sand” cover by Sand Einsturzende Neubauten? It was simply superb!

It was originally released on the “Yu-Gung” EP, “Halber Mensch” LP (both 1985) and is also on their “Strategies Against Architecture II” LP from 1991. Check Amazon.com.

Blixa Bargeld, who founded Einstürzende Neubauten, is a Lee Hazlewood fan like his music cohort Nick Cave.
In the mid 80′s in Berlin Blixa was a huge country western supporter and would play songs at a bar he frequented along with members of Einstürzende Neubauten and The Bad Seeds. This resulted in others to become interested in the genre and not just regard it with contempt.
