RadiOblivion #41

Host: Michael Kaiser

There are only two kinds of folks in the world, friends: Billy Childish fanatics, and those who are about to become one.

A man of such prowess, discussions about Billy require no adjectives! So, here be the lowdown of this special Billy Childish Blowout Bonanza in plain ol’ black n’ white: This eppy-sode collects a few personal favorite tracks from the Pop Rivets, the Milkshakes, Thee Mighty Caesars, Thee Headcoats, the Buff Medways, and the Musicians of the British Empire. Of course, it ain’t an exhaustive retrospective or such! When every single thing he’s recorded is an “Out of the Park Grand Slam” it made producing this show harder than any other. But, the selection contained herein only solidifies Billy’s position as World’s Greatest Amateur!

Now, “Buy a guitar and form a band; learn three chords and be a Headcoat man.”

    Great show – as usual.

Here’s something else for the Childish fanatics to chew on… he’s pretty full of himself in this interview but it’s fascinating none the less.

Absolutely amazing! The wild thing about it is that he’s so prolific you could do about 12 of these episodes!
