Hanging on for Mercy #44

2009-04-09

Host: Dixiegrrl

Dreamy, psychy and sad, like a big-eyed waif… or a really beat-to-hell Dixiegrrl—crawling back from SXSW, but back in love with records after a week of rock ‘n’ roll spring break. What happens in Austin stays in Austin, but still I brung home some fine shows from The Drones and Dex & Sara Romweber, a rare peek at Charlie Pickett live, and an account of how the pop Swiss Choo Choo that could slice through the grit and grimey sounds from Aaarght!! Down Under. All that and more during our Three Hour Tour “On The River in ’59″ and back home again on that “Lonesome Train.” I saw spirits rise from guitars, and this is the best I can play ya!

So how soon before I can ride again? Wheee!
