Host: Rob Baker

Welcome, music lovers, to the thirty-seventh edition of Hot Slop. Twenty-three cuts of divine soul music. Once again, Rob shares only the finest 45s from his collection. A few well-known hits, a few obscurities, and more than a few Detroit soul records. You get the picture. “Uptempo.” “Downtempo.” “Frantic.” “Moody.” It’s all here. You will walk away satisfied.

    Good Slop!

By the way, unlikely as at sounds, George Benson did a groovy instrumental version of “Ain’t That Peculiar” on his first album “It’s Uptown” way back in the 60s. Check it out sometime.

Great podcast. Any chance you can list the playlist? At a minimum, can you please let me know the song and band of the very first tune? I have to find more of their music.

    Thanks.

I know this is a late comment; I’m way behind on the listening — just want to add my voice to the chorus of “I love it!!”‘s, and thank you for doing the podcast. It’s truly an ears saver.
