Hey D.E,
Your overtime bit is paying off for us listeners. Been missin’ the surf show - which keeps sinking without trace every time a presenter walks the plank - but a well cool coup by GP.com to get you to take over. The sound waves are currently rattling the rafters of our rooftop studio between rehearsals.
Excellent start - PLEASE don’t desert us now!! We really need this surf stuff in the winter months.
JC
PS: FSR&R is a great show, by the way, and also appreciated by each and every one of the twangCORP collective.

Yay! I realy like this! My far best experience with surfmusic, just couldn’t turn on the TV, just sat there before the blank screen with my dinner, listening to this great music! Rock on! :)

I found this place about a month ago. Thanks for all the great surf music. May your reverb never fade!

What happened to the surfcast being instrumentals only?
These songs with lyrics are f’in annoying. I’m still thankful for
the surfcast though. Keep ‘em comin’.

I’m not sure where it’s written anywhere that the GaragePunk Surfcast is “instrumentals only.” All surf music is NOT strictly instrumental, nor am I or any of the other Surfcast hosts in favor of excluding anything with vocals. True, it’s a “surf/instro” show, but again, no one said it’d be anti-lyrics.

How about throwin’ in some Shi-tones (Jim Thomas of the Mermen side project) in an upcoming podcast. There are no Shi-tones CD’s that I know of, but lots of downloads to choose from on Internet Archive. They do a killer version of Jack the Ripper in a lot of their shows.
