The Desperate Hour

Host: Alex Piandes

Hey Brian here. Yeah, so Alex throws together a bunch of tunes this mont’. No theme or nothin’ and all killah, no fillah he sez, includin’ some from places I never heard of let alone been to. It sounds real good, but I wish he’d play more stuff we knew. But don’t take it from me, check it out for yourself.

This website http://www.soulfulkindamusic.net/salaimo.htm says the Alaimo version of She’s My Baby was released in 1959 if you can believe it. Also that Steve had a cousin who was in the Mojo Men. Some crooner named Ral Donner did a cover in 1961 using the same backing track.
