Orlando Rocks Again!
Host: MalThursday
Host Mal Thursday takes you on a trip back in time to Orlando in the ’60s and early ’70s, before the Mouse came to town, when top teen combos kicked out the jams at the youth centers and armories of Central Florida. Featuring exclusive interviews with Wayne Proctor of We The People and members of Tin House, whose bands are topping the bill at the Orlando Reunion Concert on September 16th, 2006. For more information on this once-in-a-lifetime event, go to aliveandrockin.com. To get We The People’s genius 2-disc anthology Mirror of Our Minds, go to sundazed.com. To get Tin House’s 1971 Rick Derringer-produced LP on Epic, be prepared to spend big bucks on eBay, or you’ll get outbid by Malaysian record collectors. Produced by MalThursday and Jeff Lemlich in living monophonic sound.

Thanks, Dixie.
Even though it was a bit of a rush job, I’m really stoked with this episode. Sorry about talking over the Nation Rocking Shadows’ tune, but at least I left in the “Scalpel…Sponge…Suture…” bit. Also had to cut tunes by the Mysteries and Flower Power, among others, for time, so maybe we’ll do a part two.

Joris:
That Offbeets cut is on the We The People 2-CD anthology MIRROR OF OUR MINDS, available at http://www.Sundazed.com. It’s one of the best ’60s reissues ever, and has cuts by WTP, Offbeets, Nonchalants, and Trademarks. Genius. Buy or die!
