“Featured Podcast” Listing on iTunes!

2006-06-15

I’ve been meaning to post about this but keep forgetting… So here goes:

The GaragePunk Podcast recently got added to the “Featured Podcasts” section of the iTunes Music Store under Music Podcasts! We’re not really sure how this happened, or what sort of criteria a podcast must meet in order to get listed here, but it probably just boils down to someone at Apple taking a liking to us. Whatever the reason, it is VERY cool that we’ve garnered this listing because it means a lot of great exposure for our shows and the music featured on ‘em.

The iTunes listing has obviously directed a lot of traffic our way, as our subscription numbers recently jumped to almost 700 and the number of downloads has also jumped to somewhere between 3,000 and 4,000 downloads per show. These are pretty staggering numbers when compared to where we were just a month ago, when our shows were lucky to get more than 1,000 downloads each. Anyway, if you would like to check out our iTunes listing and add a comment, please do! Here’s how to find it:

  1. Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
  2. Launch iTunes on your computer. (Don’t have iTunes? Download it for FREE here!)
  3. Under the “Store” menu on the left side, click “iTunes Store.”
  4. Under “Categories,” select “Music.”
  5. Click on “See All” in the “FEATURED” box in the center.
  6. Page through the Music podcasts until you see the listing for GaragePunk Podcast (we were on Page 4 this morning).
  7. Click the link for our podcast and enter your comments! (Click where it says “Write a review.”)

Thanks. And don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE!
