Great show. John Delise was always an inspiration to all of us. I had the fortune to work with his brother Roy, another extremely talented musician.

This version of "King Bee" rocks! Almost as good as Slim Harpo.
Rovin' Flames / "how many times" - it doesnt get much better than this!!!! May John rest in peace.
That is some kick ass guitar work on "Solitary Man"..
You don't hear too many good covers of the Animals "cheating".. but here it is!!
As usual the rest of the show is top notch format, somewhat like am radio back in the day.. just didn't know what was going to come next.
LOoking forward to your Texas show.

One thing that John would have hollered about is the inclusion of "She's Coming On Stronger" in his tribute set. "I didn't sing on that!" was his response when discussing the Outsiders and Rovin' Flames tracks that featured Hardy Dial on lead vocals. So, for the record, while that is Dial and not Delise on that 45, John sang it on stage during his time in the Outsiders, so that's why it's on there. Also, it's a classic tune, and a big hit in the Tampa area back in '66.

I lived with John Delise in New York City from 1991 until he moved back to Florida unwillingly. He was the love of my life. I met him in 1966 and remember the band days. I miss him more than anyone could imagine. I am glad he is being remembered for the true talent he really was. He just missed that one "big break" but he always said had he made it big it probably would have killed him.
